This thread is correct. Heisman still in reach despite what the dumbasses on this board think.

Mateer is head and shoulders above Nuss in any individual race/award

He'd rather in a championship. And BK pretty much said that he has been on a pitch count thus far.

I agree. I said in another thread that Nuss' history at LSU just screams "team first". I'd bet that if he had to pick between a Heisman and a NC win, he'd take the championship every time.

At this point, Nuss is not a serious Heisman candidate nor should he be. Neither is Arch or the kid from Clemson. This indicates how off this season's preseason odds for Heisman were.

75% of the board does exactly this. And only take into consideration what is happening here and now…last week and next week are unimaginable.

During the game it’s even worse it’s shortened to the current drive only.

He couldn’t win the Heisman if only him in the race.

Again, you don’t have any clue what he’s dealing with SPECIFICALLY - so you don’t know what he needs to or doesn’t need to do to recover. Please let the professionals handle this

Let's say the offense finds its identity, and then from SELU til the end of the SEC championship game, he averages 300 yards and 3 TDs per game with 4 rushing TDs too.

Even with that his totals before the heisman ceremony would be 3689 pass yards 33 TDs with 4 rush TDs. There is no way any QB is winning a heisman with under 4400 yards and under 45 total TDs except Jameis Winston who had 4000 yards and 42 TDs on a team that was crushing everybody that year.

Since Nuss doesn't run, to meet the threshold, he will have to average throwing for 371 yards and average 4.2 TDs over the next possible 10 games.

That's Not Happening.

We are 3 weeks into the season. If LSU is 12-0 or 11-1 at the end of the season, Nussmeir will be in New York as a finalist.
No he wont lol. He would have to go insane the next 10 games.

In actuality, if we can get Nuss to throw for 300 yards and 3 TDs each and every game the next 10 games, he would still have less than 3700 yards and only 33 TDs. That's enough for us to beat every team, but he's not sniffing the heisman with those numbers.

Do you know how the Heisman race works? You cannot have a bad game...go back and watch burrow and jayden daniels. They never had a bad game during their respective Heisman seasons. Nuss has had 2 games where he looked average

right - and leonard fournette was a heisman lock in September, too.
