That’s right , not 4th and 1 or 2 but friggin 10
Send message to team you have no confidence in them
PUNT & play the game
Not saying this alone cost game but it definitely did not help

The chances of LSU winning the game if they put in that situation are still low. But they were higher than the likelihood of LSU converting on 4th and 10. It was an impulse decision made on frustration.

You can't rationaliize it because it was irrational.

It was truly one of the most amazing coaching decisions I have ever seen. Just completely gave up with so much time left.

Because he doesn’t trust Baker to coach up the defense anymore. I had no issue with it. Bama was probably scoring either way if they got the ball back. Either a piss poor punt return coverage or Baker and the defense allow another 50 yard play. Can’t believe this is the play people are pissed about All air was out of the stadium and we needed to try something.

I really wanted to pin them deep when it was still a close game. And yes, I definitely wanted to take the easier FGs.

The only logic that I can find in it is that it was already a two score game, so if you can hold them to a field goal, you’re in the same position of needing an onside kick either way. Still I think punting is the higher probability decision there, especially on fourth and 10.

The 4th down call I can't rationalize was the first one. Kick the FG. Get the points. Reset the frame.

We lost the game on that play.

Kiffin highlighted about 10-13 things that were causes of the loss.

Not once did I hear him mention how poor his in game coaching was.

He really his own worst enemy in game playing unconventionally to often.

It’s entertaining but you will never be elite unless you can utilize all 3 phases of the game well.

Defense, Offense and SPECIAL Teams.

Bama was light years ahead of us last night as far as being a well rounded team.

Kiffin coaches like a Juco coach at times thinking he doesn’t have the skill players to use his special teams properly.

Agree. We played like an underdog all game. Take the points.

Terrible game management from Kiffin. Why not kick field goals in early opportunities?

Baker should not trust the offense to score more than 13 points and game plan for shut outs.

It was simple.

Bama would have gotten the ball around their 40 or mid field. lSU had not stopped them, Bama had all momentum. LSU needed to score and needed a momentum shift. Lane decided they needed the first down and that was the pivotal part of the game and I do not disagree with him.

If he makes it he has big balls. If he doesn’t idiot will call him an idiot.
