So what would have been the benefit coming back? He’s not getting taller

Well Lanes spending cash like he's at the titty bar so he could've prob gotten a decent pay day and then signed his UDFA deal next year

He would have to get faster. His combine time of 4.55 for the 40 for a WR is pathetic.

I do not understand why you can't come back if you do not get drafted.

If you get drafted, an NFL team used a pick on you, so I get that.

But if none of them used a pick on you, WTF isn't there an option to come back?

$$$$ is all they are after.....not good decisions! These low life agents suck them in, and the outcome is normally bad.

He should have left last year in hindsight

The time I quoted was correct but it was technically at the LSU pro day, not the combine. But yeah, 4.55 is flat out slow for a WRer. And his vertical leap of 28.5" isn't anything to write home about either. Guillory for example had a vertical leap of 27.5".

Could he still come back for another year? Not sure how the new rules apply.

That’s what I am wondering….hell some teams have hired ex pro basketball players.

I THINK that the main issue is if you hired an agent. That technically puts you in the "professional" category but these days, obviously all college players are professional these days BEFORE the draft with NIL.

He’s better than Barion Brown for sure.

Did AA have more than 6 returns for TDs? Because, that's the real reason Barion Brown was drafted.

Saban's managed this much better than anyone else to my knowledge. He told them when they signed that he would support them leaving when they had a 1st round draft grade. Until then, they needed to come back and get better and improve their draft stock. ThaT needs to be the standard at LSU

frick that. Yoh would have triple the players declaring. How are you supposed to recruit a team and have spring practice and all that.
