Will never be hired until the NCAA is done with him. You can't risk hiring a guy who could possibly receive a show cause in the near future.

Am I the only one who sees this as a huge problem,

NO....Anyone who didnt see this coming with his "Binder Plan" is a moron. This is a fairly major problem with this particular hire of O. So LSU with its deep pockets goes after the rising stars to coach and every year or two we are replacing them. Players will continually have to learn a new system not to mention you recruit a certain player for a system that is no longer being implemented.

I think its a shitty way of running a program honestly.

He's given like 10 different answers over the last year as to what kind of offense he likes. I think at this point it's safe to say he doesn't really know.

You want to name a few of the 10?

I remember him saying he wanted to run the USC offense and a spread when he thought he was going to get Kiffin as the OC.

Afterwards he said he would hire the best OC available. Which he did with Canada who was in the top 10 of yardage and points scored last year.

10 types of offenses, really? I must not keep up very well.

That's why Nick Saban is so horrible at fielding good teams. He is a defensive guy who goes through OC's A LOT. Tell him he has a shitty way of running a program.

One of the biggest problems would be that we have 2 QBs in Brennan and Narcisse that have a year working in Canada’s system. You essentially burn that year of experience and will be starting a QB who is forced to learn the new system while playing in games.

Not unless you bring someone in who runs a variant of the 'spread' with about 50% of the snaps from the shotgun. OFF personnel is ideally suited to continue the style, or VERY similar, of OFF we ran this season. And YES, no doubt as others have stated, the OFF was really clicking the last few games.

Because he was talking about the BOWL GAME. Do LSU fans not read anything and just make shite up on their own? It's worse than dealing with a bunch of 1st graders.

Do you know what hyperbole is?

My point is that, from my recollection, he's said he wants either:
-Pro-style like early-mid 2000s USC
-A modern spread
-Whatever the best available OC wants to run

Do you not see how this is problematic? Unless O really nails down what type of offense he wants run under his watch, we will continually just run whatever offense our OC is known for and never have an identity to allow continuity in both recruiting and in how we prepare in the offseason.

That puts our offense in a position to have to learn a new scheme.

a smart coach that comes to a new program tailors his scheme to available personnel, a dumb coach tries to force his scheme on the personnel, even if it isn't a good fit

Saban has a distinct philosophy on both sides of the ball. He's had OCs come and go, but has always had the same offense pretty much. Strong running game, QB which isn't asked to do much and in turn won't turn the ball over. The only change he's made really is a switch to a DT QB.

Orgeron is so dependent on his OC to dictate the philosphy he will take on that side of the ball.

You're fooling yourself if you don't think Saban to a large extent dictates their offensive identity. Through all the OC's they've always been a run-first, physical style offense. Yes, some of the offenses have shown variable formations but through it all the identity has remained the same. Big, bruising backs and huge, mauling offensive lines and a QB who really only needs to not lose the game for them.

I'm sure he'll promote from within so it will fulfill his agenda of burning this program down to the ground.

9-3 with a schedule that required away games at State, at Florida, at TN, and at Alabama is considered burning the program down?
