How come we only saw the dump pass to Guice once in the game? It worked. It probably would have worked again. We needed to get the ball in his hands in open space and let him work his magic.

On the other side of the ball, why didn't we put pressure on the QB? He had all the time in the world to find open receivers. We we were on our last drive they were blitzing like crazy.

still don't understand why Guice isn't on the field on that last drive. Busting open a screen was probably our best chance.

Steve Ensminger didn’t want to run that or the jet sweep from Canada’s play book too many times. He needed it to look like Canada was calling plays, but he didn’t want to be the next subject of Orgeron’s ire.

Canada wasn't calling the plays. Was it even confirmed he was there?

This is a rant narrative not based on reality. 4 sacks (most for us in a game this year was 5) and 3rd most sack yards.
All against the "best" offensive line in CFB.

It's easy to question calls after the game, I am just wondering why we ran like 1 jet sweep.

Yes, Canada was there. Etling said Canada devised the offensive game plan.

"Our focus is on the game," Orgeron said. "Matt, right now, is our offensive coordinator. He will call plays in the game. That's what our focus is to beat Notre Dame."

literally the only thing I can think of is that he asked the coaches to put Williams in out of his respect and love for Williams.

However, Williams did have 23 receptions for 323 yards this season compared to Guice's 18 receptions for 124 yards

We were going to be passing... DW is better at picking up blitzers than Guice.

I was being sarcastic, sorry I should have been less subtle.

ETA I’ve been on record here as saying Canada isn’t the greatest ever, but Steve E is NOT a good replacement.

Dude, show me some evidence that Canada didn't call the game. Do you think someone wouldn't have mentioned/tweeted that Canada wasn't in the booth or wasn't calling plays? Ensminger was on the sideline, not the booth.

Everyone comments on everything these days. Someone sure as hell would have mentioned Canada wasn't in the booth or a player would have let slip about Canada not calling the game.

Canada called plays the same way he called them for State and Troy.

I believe it was AFTER the Miss St embarrassment that O got Canada to scale back the motions. Lets keep our timelines and facts straight.
