So, we're paying a short tempered (I like attitude in coaches... keeps the players in check - see Saban) offensive genius $1.7mil to sit around and laugh while we run a d-lines idea of an offense.

This wont end badly... nope... not at all.

if this is true, it certainly changes my mind about Orgeron. an experienced HC should know better to get some things "understood" before a hire. examples are..."I make the in game decisions; I make the personnel decisions, etc, etc". it is also the HC's responsibility to keep as much conflict out of the program as possible; to put in a player in just to piss off a coordinator is immature and childish.

the OC had some responsibilities also; it's his job to set the game plan and sell it to the HC. maybe he tried or not; who knows. but going to O's boss was not smart.

this entire shite could and should have been avoided.
if our offense had been better in the beginning of the year, O may have not done this shite.

but changing the game plan after a halftime lead of 2 scores and go away from what was working is a les miles trait.

O needs to let the coaches coach, esp on offense.

Everyone seem to forget that after the Troy game went O did get involved Our penalties went drastically down especially on offense. The coach was trying to change the offense he just wanted a less Movement and shifts and more power. I do not agree with ED interfering in the offense I’m just pointing out I think it was more to cut down on penalties

Let me be clear. Orgeron does not hate LSU. He is not trying to make bad decisions.

He is stuck in his ways. Sound familiar?

If half of this is true, then hire Ensminger and let nature take its course. A great OC can’t fix what’s broken.

As bad as I hate to say it, this is the absolute truth if there ever was a truth!

Canada wouldnt put his entire career as a football coach in jeopardy because he is butthurt. Whoever brought that to this board should never be taken seriously again

A head coach can "handcuff" the plays called (see Troy). Or, call for more "rushes" and fewer "passes", etc. But, to hear a call, change the call, etc? Nah. Not realistic for more than a play or two.

Here is the rub for the argument over him “taking over the offense.” For O to be able to override the play calls, he would have to actually know the plays and how to call them in. Does anyone here think he would be capable of doing anything beyond a couple of plays himself? I sure don’t.

This sickens me!

When will the BOS or anyone who can clean house see that this is not working. Almost everyone is behind a clean slate and almost no one is behind what is there now.

I honestly don't think anyone thinks this.

I've NEVER liked the man (remember when we all hated him and laughed at Ole Miss? I remember...) and always hated the hire...but I don't think he's TRYING to fail.

Mostly, because I think he's all about Ed Orgeron, and there's nothing for him in failing. He's just not good at this job...something we all should have accepted when we hired a guy with a sub .500 record in our league the one and only time he was given free reign of his own program.

Had he actually succeeded...THAT would have been the anomaly. What we're seeing is about what those of us who hated this were worried about.

It is a classic case of a fricking moron who thinks he's smart and knows best. It's seen all the time in the business world.

That boy can run. The transfer rumors dont usually start until spring. They are loud and annoying when they do though.

Orgeron denied this request and my source in the booth thay day says Canada slammed his fist on the table and yelled an obscenity.. Orgeron took advantage of the outburst and basically made Canada sit in a "time out". Canada still called plays, but they were often changed last second by O and sometimes overridden completely. We would not score another point. Canada said multiple times that Florida had adjusted perfectly and the current state of things wasnt going to allow us to score.

I'm not denying that this is possible, but I'm curious if anyone has video of the game actually showing O in the headset communicating during the game.

This would be an aberration to what we've witnessed all season. I often joked to friends about him standing there chewing on his thumb instead of communicating.

Unless someone can confirm that O was calling up to the booth I just wonder about the truth here.

I legit remember Jimmy Ott on his Sunday show saying there's 'information' out there saying that he might put out feelers before the season starts.
