They reviewed it, end of story.

whatever the call on the field was, was not going to be overturned. all the angles were bad

Idk why they dont just allow everybody to wear them if this is a problem. Finger poking sucks and I have been victim to it in football games.

Those facemasks can be hard to breath with.

I think they would have blown the next play dead to review anyway.

Remember against MSU we were in the middle of a huge gain when the refs decided to review the play before? It was an incomplete pass that was close. Made it third and long. Williams was running a long draw play, and when he was a good 10 yards down the field they blew the play dead, then reviewed the prior play.

fricked us twice and kept us from scoring. LOL

Again, sometimes they make it so obvious.

Just about every tackle made on Fournette somebody was grabbing his facemask on the way down. It's like "hack a Shaq" 2.0.

I was watching the game with a guy at work that's not a fan of either team nor a college football fan for that matter. He was as pissed as I was about the missed calls. UF's LT & LG were raping Key and Godchaux all night, there were 3 blocks in the back on the punt return, & two terrible missed PI, one of which cost LSU a score. Game should have easily been 42-14. Oh well good win for the Tigers
And frick the Gaytors

The officiating does concern me when it comes to Fournette's health and safety. This wasn't the first game where facemasks were not called on Buga and gangs of defenders continued to push him back long after multiple whistles.

I think he call was right on the fumble....the ball didn't go out of bounds, but the Florida player was out of bounds before having control of the ball

yep. It's not where the player touches the ball but where is located after possession. He was clearly out of bounds but they should have snapped the ball quicker so it wouldn't have been an issue.

yeah. fix our second teams stuff and we DGAF about the officials as it's a blowout, BUT

Since the game WAS close...

there were blocks in back and holds on every play. obvious ones. LSU ended up with less penalties at the end, but the penalties we DID get (as usual) came at the worst times.

question... is it ok for an offensive lineman who gets beat to square up and block his man directly in the back?? or is that only prohibited on punts and kickoffs(where it was rampant from UF too)?

i hope we all agree that our coaches had a massive fricking brainfart after the fumble call...dicking around and calling a play requiring a read
Yes.

There were bad calls both ways. I was more annoyed at them cutting to that gator douche holding the "$ down" sign on every fricking 3rd down.

This may not be popular, but we did get away with a fumble/non fumble, so there's that...

I thought the officiating benefited us more than it hurt us.

This is why les needs to call out the refs and take the fine, you protect buga

Dale Brown had to do that for Shaq

At some point CLM has to make a statement. IF he does not want to do it in public. Then get on the plane, fly to Birmingham and let them have it in person behind closed doors.

we did get away with the lost fumble (that was recovered inbounds)

We did not get away with it. The play was clearly explained and it was the correct call.

Florida player was out of bounds before having control of the ball. This is why it was not overturned

Obvious holding no-calls and no late hit were bad. But the "missed" late PI was damn near criminal.

How about the play where the FLA player CLEARLY had the ball inbounds?????? LSU got a HUGE break there.........

Everyone in this thread complaining about there not being enough penalties called. I actually prefer football when there are fewer penalties called.

Debo got away with a hold/illegal contact on UF's 4th down with 3 minutes. He reached out and grabbed 81 then broke up the pass.

He obviously didn't or the call would have been reversed. Did you want the Florida player to be in bounds?
