And I guess they missed the whole fact that on average, our tigers live almost double the life of the average tiger, must not be so inhumane that he won’t be able to live.

1. what do you mean by "now"? how long has it been since they gave Mike the choice? it has to be at least a decade.
They made it a priority to give Mike the choice for as long as I can remember. That’s why Mike VI was never at the game. He never got into the trailer and nobody forced him.

Which governing body is telling us that Mike isn’t allowed at the game?

You idiots are just relentless in your ignorance huh?

That's funny, because I remember watching them spray Mike with a hose and poke at him with a stick to try to get him off the rocks in his old cage, in an attempt to get him to go into his cage. So yes, they used to try to force him into the cage.
Then, they changed to not forcing him, and it was very rare that he ever went.
Now they changed it to where they don't attempt to put him in the cage at all. Accept that fact, and get over it.

I support this, if you include some of them cajun girls with the hairy armpits and moustaches also.

The Global Federation of Animal Sanctuaries, for one.
I imagine the US Fish and Wildlife service would have a say as well.

There is literally an article linked in your dumb arse thread that explains it. Of course, you didn't bother reading it, just like you didn't bother ever finding out the facts of what you are saying, otherwise you wouldn't have created this thread.

Well if they were averaging double the life of an average tiger while still going to the game it doesn’t seem to me that it’s all that big of a deal to his health. It’s what? 6 or 7 Saturdays a year and like 15-20 minutes max at a time? That’s 140 minutes every single year that Mike was on the field. Those 140 minutes must’ve been real damaging to them.

Shoot him with a tranquilizer dart. Load him in cage. He should come around about the start of the second half when Devin takes the field.

For starters, Dr. Baker isn't a piece of shite. The only way LSU was getting another Mike after VI was to apply for sanctuary status and hope another sanctuary would donate a Tiger. There are legal issues and licenses that need to be obtained and without that sanctuary status LSU would've been SOL. If you want to see any Mikes after this one you don't go back against your word. Stop being a fricking douche bag about this.

I think we should put you in a cage and parade you around.

Then perhaps you should submit your research to the vet who handles Mike. Let him know of all the studies you have done which proves that bringing him into the cage is no big deal.
When you do this, please post it here, so we can all laugh our arse off.

It's never going to happen again. That's a dead tradition.
There's a ton of pressure on LSU to not even have a Tiger mascot at all. In order for LSU to have Mike, they've got to present his care as the ultimate in captive Tiger care. They can't lure him into a small trailer and parade him around a football stadium. It's just not going to happen in this era. If you want the Mike tradition to continue, you've got to accept they can't bring him in the stadium anymore.

Let me be clear for you, clown. I don’t think Mike should come in the stadium anymore. I’ve read and understand his care takers’ reasoning for that. I know it’s not happening. My original comment is the equivalent of saying “Drew Brees would never leave the Saints, but if he did, he would go to New York before he’d ever go to Buffalo. The second part of that sentence isn’t meant to provide support that Brees would leave, just that going to Buffalo is a really dumb suggestion.
and oh by the way, STTDB.

You'll be in that damn trailer roaring before that tiger will be.
Posted on 10/24/18 at 12:24 pm to TigerFanInSouthland
Can you grandpa’s just let it go. It’s not going to happen again
