Sam has a great arm. If he can get his feet planted, he'll start playing some very good QB. I'd really like to see him throw it a bit deeper sown the field more often. Dial up some deep posts and go-balls so his read is simple. If there's 1-on-1 coverage, I let it rip. He's struggling reading the intermediate stuff, but maybe if he connected on some deep balls early it'd settle him down and slow down his brain and feet a bit.

I get where you're coming from, but the problem is he had lots and lots of WIDE open receivers that he never saw or considered throwing to. I am team Sam but he's gotta get better. O line too

He also had receivers drop the pass.
He is in game 3 of this offense with game speed and had basically fall to get adjusted to them a little but not at this speed.
Give me another progression item that is not too soon to judge.

He also missed two wide open TDs due to flat out bad inaccurate passes. If Sam hits both or even one of those then LSU probably wins that game. But…..

OK. However, please don’t accidentally also give Nuss’ “work ethic” and “me-first entitlement/soft mentality” to Sam while doing that.

It’s not sam’s arm that’s the problem. It’s the way he processes things.

Definitely not arguing with you, but his release point is too low because of a baseball sidearm delivery. And he also never seems to set his feet even when he is able, like you said.
