Yes, because the toss dive is what we’re missing

I'll take Miami Florida's OC

Slaon is sleeping in the office beb.

So play calling makes no difference now?
It didn’t in 2018 with him. They looked like shite. He was fired for being a shitty OC multiple times including at TAMU and other stops.

He was better than the shite show thats happening with Sloans arse!! He lost Underwood so he gets to lose his job. Thats the whole reason why he was promoted anyway. Time to move on from this hire. Its almost as bad as coach O hiring Peleni without an interview and settling. If you do any research on his.past stops at OC and ya hire this guy then you as a HC needs to be fired for incompetence

Ensminger didn’t do jack shite until Joe Brady came in.
This is false. Ensminger set records prior to Brady being here. Brady increased our offensive effectiveness but Ensminger knew how to build an offense. This rewriting of history from the nearsighted fans is always fun to debate.

There is no fixing this offensive with Nuss at quarterback

Guess you were in a coma in 2019, I wasn't. Now that you are awake LSU was the NC in 2019 and STEVE ENSMINGER WAS THE OC NOT JOE BRADY and STEVE ENSMINGER CALLED THE PLAYS NOT JOE BRADY. Now go back in your coma and when you wake up again maybe will have won another Natty

And obviously some "fans" can't be fixed either.

we all love Ensminger, but he didn't do much when he had Burrow, Chase, Jefferson, Helaire, and an elite OL in 2018.
Only when Brady came in 2019 was the offense unleashed.
Exactly, but Ensminger would be better than Sloan so we would have that going for us.

That’s actually the best suggestion I’ve read on here all year. Not being cynical. I think it could work

Joe Brady was fired as OC at Carolina.

Coach O told Ensminger after the 2018 Alabama game, "We are going to a spread offense". He got Sean Peyton to talk to the team that spring. He later hired Brady to install a version of the Saints offense. This has been cited in the documentary "One for the Ages".
As for play calling, Ensminger called plays up to the red zone, then he turned it over to Brady. Those were Ensminger's exact words in 2019. They both played a role in the 2019 offense.

I liked him because he was always open to update the offensive innovation and he evolved with the way offenses changed over decades. He actually had a common sense about his play calling also, not the dumb shite we saw this last 1.5 yrs

It amazes me the people still want to credit Ensminger for the offense in 2019 when he couldn’t even manage to score a single point on his own against Bama the season before.

It’s the playcalling. The OLine can’t shoot off the line with the read option, and all the defense has to do is cue in on the rbs since they know Nuss isn’t a running threat.
We may have success in both the running and the passing game if we utilized more traditional formations and could take advantage of play action

quote:All you guys that are constantly offering up suggestions about what to do with the football team, how about sending your ideas directly to Brian Kelly.
The man just can’t happily retire with BK in charge at LSU. Just bring him back as a consultant or something. Need this man back to come save Kelly’s arse. Sloan is a dead man walking.
Do yall think BK reads the Rant everyday looking for suggestions from people that have never even played high school football. (The majority on the Rant)
Send him an e-mail.........football@lsu.edu (Attention: Brian Kelly) in the Header.
BTW, here's some facts about BK9.9 that many of you on here probably don't know. (Taken from his Bio on LSUSPORTS.NET)
"A native of Everett, Mass., Kelly was a four-year letterwinner at linebacker and two-time team captain at Assumption College in Worcester, Mass. He graduated from Assumption in 1983 with a degree in political science."
Kelly’s first head coaching job came at Division II Grand Valley State in 1991, a position he held for 13 years. In 13 years at Grand Valley, Kelly won 118 games, won five straight conference titles and made six Division II playoff appearances. He led the Lakers to back-to-back national titles in 2002 and 2003, going 14-0 and 14-1, respectively. He won 41 games during his final three years in Allendale.
Kelly’s first Division I head coaching position came in 2004 when he took over at Central Michigan. In three years with the Chippewas, Kelly’s teams won 19 games, claimed the Mid-American Conference title in 2006 and appeared in a bowl game for the first time in 12 years. The MAC title was the first for Central Michigan since 1994. Kelly’s impact at Central Michigan put the program on a path that saw the school win two more MAC titles over the next three years after his departure. Prior to Kelly’s arrival, Central Michigan had only two 10-win seasons and two bowl appearances since joining the Mid-American Conference in 1975.
Kelly transformed Cincinnati into a football powerhouse, winning Big East titles in 2008 and 2009. In three years at Cincinnati, the Bearcats won 34 games and appeared in the Orange and Sugar Bowls. In 2007, Kelly led Cincinnati to the school’s first-ever 10-win season with a 10-3 mark and a win in the PapaJohns.com Bowl. In his final season at Cincinnati, Kelly’s team posted a 12-0 regular season mark and earned a berth to the Sugar Bowl.
Kelly spent 12 years as the head coach at Notre Dame where he became the school’s winningest coach with 113 victories, moving past legendary Knute Rockne for the top spot on the list. Kelly left Notre Dame with a 113-40 overall mark and his teams averaged 10 wins a season over his last five years – 54-9 during that span – with the Irish. Kelly surpassed Rockne as the winningest coach in the storied history of Notre Dame when the Irish beat Wisconsin, 41-13, on Sept. 25, 2021 at Soldier Field in Chicago. During his Notre Dame career, Kelly led the Irish to the 2012 BCS national title game as well as College Football Playoff appearances in 2018 and 2020. He was named National Coach of the Year by numerous outlets in 2012 and 2018. He’s the only coach to win the Home Depot Coach of the Year Award more than once, and he’s done it three times (2009, 2012, and 2018). In 12 seasons at Notre Dame, Kelly’s teams won at least 10 games seven times, including 2021, as the Irish posted an 11-1 mark and were ranked as high as No. 5 in the nation during his final season in South Bend. Kelly’s final five seasons at Notre Dame saw the Irish win at least 10 games each year, including a 12-1 mark in 2018 and 11-2 in 2019."

Great resume', but NOT a fit at LSU of the SEC. He has to depend on "Used Car Salesmen" assistants from the South to recruit southern athletes. (Which is now being nullified by NIL $$$$ bags)
