Ah, so you're a very simple-minded individual aren't you?

Guidry recorded outs, limited base runners, and limited runs at a better rate in 2024 than he did in 2023. That's kinda what a pitcher's job is.

Lets take his outing against Arkansas. You'd look at it as 3 Ks to 3 BBs. But what you'll miss is he also went 2 innings, gave up no hits, and nobody scored. So he did his job

He had an OppBA of .165 last year, the best on the team. That number was .209 in 2023. He gave up 8 XBHs in 28 IP in 2023, to just 3 XBHs in 24.1 IP last year.

His ERA was 3.77 in 2023 and 2.59 in 2024.

He was a better pitcher last year than he was his freshman year, period.

Baseball is a game of odds in calculations and sooner or later the odds will get you. Once again stated above the other facts he's no more than a bottom feeder with this talent pool. He never progressed - unfortunately you don't have any information that shows me or anyone that he's progressed year to year and will never know this year I guess.

He actually got worse from the only measurable analytics that you can look at.

Let me post this one more time to make you look stupid.

Guidry gave up 0 ER in his last 10 appearances on the mound last season. During the fall scrimmages last year he gave up 0 ER as well. That's 0 ER allowed over 23 IP between the end of last season and fall scrimmages.

Nobody cares about whatever his walk rate is when you're pitching at that level. He was a machine by the end of last season and as elite as we had last fall.

He was obviously going to be a big piece to this pitching staff this year to anyone who was paying attention. Jay was going to start him in the 1st Nicholls game earlier this season (the one that got postponed to this week).

I'm sick and tired of people like you and crazy opinions about kids that you know absolutely nothing about. I'm going off of base statistics from the last 2 years - you probably need to cool down bud before you bust a blood vessel or have a stroke. The only people who need to be banned are the ones continually posting about basketball.

I don’t know why his dad would make that up and why he would make that up while we were talking on the phone. That would seem pretty stupid to make up after all the eyes on him.

I didn’t suggest his dad wouldn’t make something up. My comment was about the severity and complexity of the injury.

After his family told me a few options on the table before they left. I am getting more comfident by the minute and if everything on the table is done tonight I would be willing to bet a few grand he pitches this weekend.

Yes, if all goes accordingly I definitely think he goes this weekend!! The procedures are very simple that he want even an encision. He might even throw a pen in the morning. I doubt he even thinks about his back! The right medicine will fix anything.

I'm curious as to what this could be. These types of injuries are something I've read a lot about but I'm not sure what you could be talking about that could have him ready to go over night. The cortisone shots are essentially just a band aid. I suppose it's possible those could work fast enough to make you feel better the next day but it's really just masking the problem and could make things worse down the road if you were to just immediately go back to pitching

Well I just seen an injury report update for this weekend on X a little bit ago and it says Guidry is once again out so……..

I personally don’t think Guidry pitches at all this year at this point. Idk why Jay just doesn’t come out and say it
