i find it dumb how stupid you are and the OP is.
if it was some conspiracy then why is guidry right next to Jay at every game when they show the dugout
here is what is happening
they are setting up bench marks. he has to hit one then can move to the next
if he fails any benchmark along the way....he has to start over
this is pretty much same injury( at least very similar) he had his senior year of HS that cost him games and again after freshman year when he had to pull out of playing with the rougarou after a game or two
low back injuries are actually extremely common in baseball athletes especially fracturing the spine. it is more common in underweight athletes that roate very hard i.e. Guidry.

Gavin received a stem cell injection about 10 days ago. Gonna take a little time, but he is throwing.

He seems to be very involved from a leadership standpoint, he is usually the first out to congratulate players and is always talking up the pitching staff.

he has always been like that. I posted comments stating the same about how impressed i was with his leadership when he was hurt at barbe.
I feel same way about Courville, the catcher going to UT. born leaders

Everything is clear and fine until this quiet, which we see often. Makes me feel like there might be something not being said. Either the injury is worse than expected and not being revealed or another factor.
Coach is being as transparent as humanly possible yet this is the takeaway. He has metrics to hit. He may hit them by Thursday. He may not.
It’s really as simple as that.

100%!!!
If Guidry were suspended for any reason, he wouldn’t be with the team at home, and away games. If he were suspended, he wouldn’t be involved in team activities.
But… like you said… he’s front and center in the dugout at every single baseball game. That’s a full, 100% player participating in team activities, but not playing due to injury.

it very similar to his issues at Barbe. I might know you with all you know with Barbe and you seem to be spot with Gavin. I was with his Dad and Grandpa last night and was told his back is more severe. Herniated disk and a bulging disk. We are distant family and he tried his best to sound positive but I know him to well to know it was an act. My cousin coaches at Barbe

Unfortunately the Stem Cells aren't responding like they hoped. Too bad, i got them in my knee and havent had an issue with it in 3yrs

This sounds a lot like he Royally Screwed Up Somewhere, Possible Failed Drug Tests? They have never come out and given a specific nature of injury. I am starting to think that this is not injury related at all?

that is because you are a low IQ mouth breathing dumbass
its his back, he has a herniated disk, wtf do yall not understand about that?

that sucks man, great kid too. and his treatments are limited because of PED testing has outlawed other things besides stem cell and few other treatments
and i doubt we know each other. possible, but i didnt go to barbe, honestly not up there that much anymore either, at least lately. them boys are hot right now though.

Me neither, I stay across the bridge in Westlake but have my apartment in Houston. Son plays baseball at Summer Creek. 6a School with 6200 kids. Have 3 teams and had 97 players at tryouts crazy. Will Hill is our CF headed to Texas next year. Last year our LF went to Texas. Casen Evans is beat us in the playoffs last year. Cade beat us by himself last year att Tomball. Caleb Alexander is the #3 SS in Texas and only a sophomore plus he pitches 98mph with 3 secondary pitches. We have another 6’8” sophomore who throws 99mph then we a freshman pitcher who is the #3 rated freshman pitcher in Texas

Based on how well this bullpen has performed, Guidry is way down the pecking order of relievers to use.

Don’t worry about it. If he comes back great if not it isn’t the end of the world. Injuries and coping with them are part of the game for every team.

If this is accurate than there was always a very small chance he'd come back.
Those generally don't heal themselves quickly if at all.

I don’t know why his dad would make that up and why he would make that up while we were talking on the phone. That would seem pretty stupid to make up after all the eyes on him.
If you want, read my post on the thread with the two twitter links. It was on the second page. After his family told me a few options on the table before they left. I am getting more comfident by the minute and if everything on the table is done tonight I would be willing to bet a few grand he pitches this weekend. My cousin who coaches at barbe is with him right now and it sounds better by the minute. But anything can happen even iwith minor procedures

So you think Gavin will be available this weekend?
Posted on 4/9/25 at 11:20 pm to TigerMonkey7
His parents were at my house for dinner tonight. Gary stayed on the phone at least 3 hours talking to his medical staff and coaches. Some options being discussed, minimally invasive treatment. That’s as far as I’ll go, I can’t say anything else about the procedure.
Yes, if all goes accordingly I definitely think he goes this weekend!! The procedures are very simple that he want even an encision. He might even throw a pen in the morning. I doubt he even thinks about his back! The right medicine will fix anything.
