Can someone tell me what Les Miles does well?
Offense?
Defense?
Putting the best Personnel on the field?
Clock Management?
Oline?
Pre snap penalties?

Brian Kelly
Kevin Sumlin

would both be big improvements. A blind monkey could have coached LSU 05-07 and had success.

I think the guy, in an earlier thread, lobbied for Saban, Kelly, Spurrier, Tubbs, and several others... I'm gonna go with hell no to 3 of those immediately.

So LSU fans should accept 3 losses a year when Saban proved that LSU can be an elite program. Miles simply cannot get it done against elite coaches.

other than one year we accepted it with saban.

so what is your point?

Point is that Miles is not getting it done. Can he recruit yes among the best in the game but he is a fricking worthless gameday coach.

Can we all agree that declaring every game, no matter the circumstance, to be a defining moment for Les Miles is asinine?

Amen.

you are an idiot. I'll bet you Miles will never win another NC. but 2 in 3 years at Fl is elite. One loss is elite, 2 is not bad but anything other than that with the talent LSU has, is unacceptable.

Saban built this program from the ground up, if anything, we should be thanking him for the partial success we have had

How many seasons at LSU did Saban have two or less losses? 10-2 is "not bad". Wow.

W4LSU is an idiot?

yes. We can. No matter how badly any of you want it to happen, we aren't going to win a national championship every year, we aren't going to lose 1 game every year and we aren't going to be SEC champions every year.

and thats OK! I'm PERFECTLY fine with that...playing for the occasional SEC championship is great...Stomping the shite out of northern teams in bowl games they dont have any place in is great.

I just dont get some of you...its never enough. You hate jefferson or you hate lee or you hate mccray or brandon taylor and you hate les miles and crowton and chevis' 3rd down defense...if you hate all this shite...why exactly do you call yourself an LSU fan?

The real question people is

WOULD YOU WANT WINS AND A DAMN GOOD PROGRAM THAT IS IN TIP TOP SHAPE I.E. NICK SABAN

OR

LES, AT LEAST WE ARE DOING THE CLASSY THING AND I'M GONNA LOSE AT LEAST 2 GAMES A YEAR, MILES

Wow, you are some kinda idiot,

Saban had two 10 win seasons at LSU. TWO!

Miles has already had 3, and can get a 4th if we win out or only drop one more game.

and Miles has let the program regress?

By the way, Neither Saban nor Meyer have yet to have an undefeated season, so does that mean they're also TERRIBLE coaches like Miles?

Jesus you people are fricking idiots.

Arkansas virtually played Florida to a tie in Gainesville (who knows what happens if the SEC doesn't step in). Anyhow, that said, Miles is a good coach, probably a lot better than most people give him credit for. I'm certainly not innocent of criticizing the man for some of his decisions, but I can see that he inspires his players to go out and give 100% every game, I dont even have a lot of complaints on him concerning X's and O's. My only gripe on Miles is his under use of the talent and speed on this team offensively (no Shep against UF is *almost* unforgivable) and some bad "game management" decisions he's made over the years.

He won't and will probably never win another SEC title. Miles is a good coach....at a program like Ole Miss or Missouri but not LSU. LSU behind Florida is the best program in the conference in terms of upside and potential to win the SEC title every year considering recruiting beds, resources etc. LSU is better than bama in all areas. Difference they have an elite coach and LSU doesn't.

depends on what happens in the bowl game. 10+ wins this year puts him the "great" catagory imo.

Great coaches win championships more than once every 5 years.

10 wins isn't "great" when only 2 or 3 teams on your schedule recruit in the same stratosphere you do.
