Sure, if that’s how you need to classify it. My point is that people aren’t just actively cheerfkng against LSU, at least not actual LSU fans. Just that I’ve seen 1-2 posters that made some decent points about why they’d rather have one massive failing season which brings about change, rather than drag out the mediocrity for several before a change is made. It’s about the long term. Think LSU hoops.
Obviously it’s all a pointless hypothetical discussion. I can’t really get behjnd the sentiment 100%, honestly. My desire to cheer for LSU week in week out is too strong. But again, please point me to the plethora of people that wish failure on the program.

Just go to any pro-lsu post and you'll find a few in each thread. It's really not that hard. I don't know why I need to point them out, you already acknowledged that they exist so you know who they are.
Except the Chris Curry thread, the admins cleaned that one up already.

Yes we do agree on LSU's wished success.

No I've acknowledged that I recall one or two people who expressed the above opinion which you decided to classify as "WANTING LSU TO FAIL".
If its so rampant and widespread, just link me like, I dont know ... 7 or 8 posts where different individual posters are clearly wishing failure upon LSU's football program in the short term and long term. It couldn't be too hard.

Can't we all agree that nearly everyone, including those of us that have been extremely critical of Orgeron, have been VERY vocal in saying exactly that? Of course we want LSU to win. Only a handful of folks have expressed otherwise...and while I PERSONALLY disagree with their reasoning (just as I did when people hoped Miles' teams would lose more so that he'd be forced out) I understand their motivation. I could never hope to see LSU lose a game, ever.
The issue has been that even when we say that, we're told that we're lying or we're "not REAL LSU fans." Say that long enough to an actual fan and you're going to make them look for a reason to fight with you.

I think the issue is that you made a claim and are now uninterested in backing it up and expecting someone else to do the work of proving/disproving your assertion.
You asserted there were many...provide them and win you point.
ETA: Your exact quote was "There are quite a few here that want them to lose for some reason." That's easy to backup if it was true. Please provide whatever you consider to be "quite a few" examples of posters hoping LSU loses.

To this day, I've still only seen one person actually say the hope LSU loses. Most of the time you see the "maybe they will lose and you will be happy" comments that are twisting things to no end.
I will say that when I was trying to find comments saying rankings didn't matter for my own proof that a lot of those threads get whacked. It may not be as easy to produce the proof as one thinks.

LOL - I might be a little slow but it seems to have worked for me! I did work with smarter folk than me in my years as a Application Engineer but not many of them would see me as being a little slow. I am fine with the fact you have me in that slow bag. I am semi-retired now but for being a little slow they are paying me well to still bring that slowness to work daily.
