All offseason I have been telling people this team is gonna be better than expected and the reason was that Simmons and Quarterman are no longer here.

This team will win more than in 9 SEC play.

Mays is a + PG
Blakeney is a +++ SG
Reath and Victor are both ++ Post players
Epps is a + player, too.

For the first time in a while, we have a pretty good starting 5 and some quality depth in Sampson, Patterson, Sims, Bridgewater and Robinson.

LSU did its part in the over hype and not having vetted him enough to know that it was for naught

It means they are not a liability and can provide something on both the offense/defense.

++ Means they can make a post season SEC team if they play up to their ability and +++ means AA potential.

I'd give Mays a higher rating but he's only a freshman. That rating could rise.

Blakeney might be a better and more natural leader but to say Simmons was a cancer is dumb. The guy had one of the best freshman seasons of alltime and was a double double machine. If you're looking for cancers you might wanna try johnny jones and Tim quarterman.

So I prove that part of your narrative is wrong and you post a picture of a handkerchief directed at me? It's now obvious that you are clearly a moron and a banpan.

I mean, it's the truth. He did nothing for this team and then drug LSU's name through the mud on that documentary

I agree with you. Maybe for a different reason, though. When I watched them last year the other four players on the court tended to get caught Ben-watching and just waiting for him to do whatever he was going to do. It took a while for the other players to find their game last season. I figured this year the team would not have that issue and would be working on team ball from day one of camp.

I totally understand arguing he didn't live up to expectations. But to pretend he was a net negative for last year's team... especially if just based on this year's team winning against two inferior teams... is downright laughable

Psssst... with a semi-competent Division 1 basketball coach none of these purported issues arise.

I get where people are coming from. I did the same thing last year after two games. I thought that team shared the ball well in the first two games.... but then Johnny Jones set in. Personally, I just don't see this team being able to make up for CJJ on the defensive end.

Bingo! Everyone has written this team off before season start. It's sad because all the fair weather fans will jump back on the jj train if this team makes the tourney in march

Just about nailed it. Can't wait to see the leader Blakeney will turn out to be.
