If you saw that, you were REALLY drunk.
I was there and that kind of stuff never happened.
The cheerleaders would ride in on top of the cage and they often would bang on the cage and stick a microphone close as Mike roared, and it was heard in the stadium...and that still remains as one of the coolest things ever.....but eating a chicken through the bars......nah, you dreamed that.

this, a roommate of mine at LSU in the 70s who was an animal science? major said it was rumored around the ag school that they'd give Mike a little speed before taking him over to TS
