Accept it man. Just accept it. Quit banging your head about that which you can not control. Les ball is Les ball. When he has a qb he trusts he throws the ball around the yard. When he doesn't, he doesn't. Just sit back and ENJOY the defense and special teams and get some chips or take an extended shite when the offense has the ball. Mexican food may be your solution for enjoying LSU football.
Asking this in a friendly way. Because I really agree with you. Plus. The way the rant is, if anyone is questioned here, it gets ugly quick and I am not trying to do that.
are you saying accept it bcause it less miles offense and he won't change it? Or are you saying that we are screwed for the next three years because TAF/alleva have no other options due to contracts? Or both.

Our strategy this year is to run the football down our opponent's throat, physically overpowering and outlasting them to the point of submission. Problem is, we don't have a competent quarterback to compliment our running to exploit aggressive run defenses.
This is what happens when you lose an outstanding quarterback to the NFL and are forced to start an underclassmen with little experience in the strongest conference in college football. Once we have a competent passer our offense will be strong again like it was in 2013 - that person will be Brandon Harris and we may see him take the offense over next season. By his Junior year we will be the favorite to win the SEC.

Would one of those high flying offenses put any less pressure on the QB? A mis-run route here or there, a dropped pass or two, a questionable call, etc. would be mentally easier?
Here's a fact for you. Les Miles loves run oriented ball control, play stout defense football. That's what it is. That is was it has been. That is what it will be.
Now put your big boy pants on and quit your freaking crying about things you can neither control nor understand.

Its very simple, play to our strengths and away from our weaknesses. So, this year we run and avoid the pass (within reason) and last year we did both (we had QB that could manage a passing game).

Avoid the forward pass if at all possible. When you finally do break that tendancy, you will shock the hell out of everyone in the stadium including hopefully the opponent.

LSU's offensive strategy
Only pass when you have to. Run left 75% of the time. Try not to spread out the defense.

Despite that shitty offense, they did enough to give us a lead
They? The offense? You mean the offense that marched one time down the field to kick a field goal, and converted a drive that started into Bama territory into a td?

, Chavis and the defense bent over and took it
On the last drive, yes. But LSU had the lead with 50 seconds left in that game for one reason only, Chavis and his defense. Not only did they hold Bama to 1 second half first down (prior to the drive), no only did they hold Bama to 10 points (prior to the drive), but they also gave the LSU offense the ball twice in Bama territory, and once at the 6 yard line.
But once again, the mediocre LSU offense forces the defense and special teams to be perfect.

LSU's coaches can't even do that!!!

(hence 23 points over our last 2 games) nothing to do with playing two top 10 defenses
Not to mention the OL and backs played well enough to score twice that many points. The strategy was pretty damn good to be honest. Turnovers and questionable penalties notwithstanding of course.

most likely played the two best defenses in the sec/ country. But yeah he wants to shorten games and control the clock. It basically worked.
But we really were not running it 60 times a game. I think we ran it like 34 times against auburn and got our shite pushed in. he reverted back to just run it no matter what and pulled off 3 straight wins. you cant really argue with the reasoning.
Now you can bitch about not having a decent qb because that is on him, but not the philosophy that has put us in spots to pull off 4 straight wins when every thought we might not win another game.
Id also like to point out the those two teams offenses that looked to be way more potent than ours could not do shite agaisnt us either, that is what happens when you play a good team. But the ole miss game we dominated on the ground, and really should have had more points.

Correct in that LSU's offense played just enough. Alabama's offense did show MUCH more diversity and imagination than LSU's, which seems to be a weekly happening. I'd be inclined to say the defense playing lights out until the last did more to put LSU in that position than the offense's sub 200 yards rushing and 76 yards passing. But Chavis's defense did fall apart at the end when LSU had the game in hand just like last time.
The defense is the only reason we were in that game, but I do believe that Chavis' prevent D is too predictable. I think Saban understands exactly how to defeat it. Mama opened up the offense at the end of the game. I think he knew he just had to keep it close and Chavis would give him the D he was waiting for.

Chavis called a masterful game! In fact up until the final 50 secs it was one of the most impressive defensive efforts I've seen from Tigers, comparable to 2011 against Bama! He did not go into a "prevent" defense, LSU was in regular defense with 2 high safeties to stop the deep ball! LSU was still mam-man underneath w 2 high safeties! Credit Bama for executing flawlessly when they needed to on that last drive! If we get one tackle on one of those passes that were able to go out of bounds after completions, it might have been a different outcome!
