5 as in 5 first rounders.

If Neal is projected as a 1st rounder next year, he would go Top 2 rounds this year and be with Jerald Hawkins.

If LSU makes it to the National Championship game, then yes, we will have a record 6 players drafted in the first round, no matter the outcome.

Come on dukke, you haven't heard the "business decision" pitch at bama? The #1 goal of almost every top recruit is getting to the league, and as a first rounder is a huge selling point. It doesn't have to be real...the business decision bs at bama isn't.....but it works....we aren't always working with Einstein here with some of these parents.

I think Chi will run a sub 4.6 forty with good training, but will wow the scouts the most with a 40" vertical using the vertex measurement. They will also like his length and catching radius.

Fitz ran a 4.48 at his pro day in March of 2004

Agreed. I believe there are currently 8 guys with a real chance and will be second rounders in worst case, barring injury or otf issues. There are also a couple of other guys with wild card potential in dural and perhaps bowers....LSU will have minimum 12 guys drafted, and possibly more. Will be the most experienced/talented team in the sec.

He is plenty fast enough, and is an athletic freak. Hell he made Harris actually look good at times.

And with all of that talent (both on offense and defense), I'm assuming you think we are a lock for the national championship?

2 posts. This doesn't even make sense. At least pick one or the other.

Also, I'm a goober for suggesting 6 could go first round, when various publications have 8 different players currently going? Ok

Nope, but I think we have a good shot at the West, then we go from there. Bash him all you want, but Miles has had a lot of success the few times he has had this much talent. Of course, I realize what your agenda is on here.

I don't have an agenda. It was a simple question. Relax.

Lock for the division title, yes. Lock for the conference title, yes. There's no such thing as a lock for the national championship.

There's no such thing as a "lock" in sports if we're being literal.

Malachi has an obviously great catch radius. His speed looks to be at least good. And I really like the way he is able to get off the line. Malachi gets vertical without giving ground toward the sideline. This is an underappreciated skill in a wide receiver, because it gives the QB plenty of room to drop the ball over his outside shoulder. Then he can use his body to shield the DB. With his height, arm length, and jumping ability, this is deadly.
