The only personality Nick Saban needs are the ones he’s warring on his fingers. You win football games and the rest will take care of itself.

Having a personality is overrated.

Doesn't matter what your sources say, because everyone with a freaking brain knows Alleva's days are numbered because they are tied with Orgeron's. After this year Orgeron has only one year left to prove himself and before they fire Orgeron they are going to fire Alleva first. Orgeron had better lock down 2019 instate recruits or he is gone plain and simple. He didn't get hired because he was some kind of offensive or defensive genius, he got hired because he is supposed to be this master recruiter that has Louisiana blood in him. The thinking was he would bring in the recruits and the DC's and OC's would run the show.

Well we saw how that worked his first year, he ran his first OC out the door. So that was an epic fail. Now we saw what happened on his first full recruiting year and if you are actually grading compared to previous classes including the class that Miles had tons of influence in, I would grade it as a C. So you are not supposed to get C's on your recruiting class when you are the "wizard" master recruiter and you are recruiting in your home state for your home school.

Make no mistake about it, Alleva's job is directly connected to Orgeron's success in 2019's instate recruiting class. If Orgeron doesn't lock the state up he is gone. And now he has 2 of the best recruiters in the nation on either side of him getting ready to poach the shite out of Louisiana next year Nick Saban to the east and Jimbo Fisher to the west. Orgeron is fricked and that means Alleva is also!!!.

A response to all - you folks swallow ANY news that fits your agenda and have NO idea if it is true or not. Who can CONFIRM any of this? Yes, all our days are "numbered". This is so much bullshite without verification and the OP doesn't know squat! THAT is a confirmation.

You can not know that he doesn't know squat. You are speculating just like you say he is with those kinds of statements.

This. I see him as being a way better strategist on the assistant level then being the type of person that can or wants to manage the bigger picture

I'd guess that Alleva's job is somewhat tied to O's success or failure. I hope Alleva is around for several more years. That'd mean the football team was doing great and Joe would get to see his basketball coach go to the Final 4.

I'd prefer we go get Fleck but would have confidence in Aranda to run a strong program.

I found dial up lane kiffin
Keep the oline coach, and let lane choose the rest of the offensive staff.

I hope Kiffin would keep Aranda and Raymond or maybe the whole staff.

I am sorry that there are so many people LSU Fans and others that will automatically believe in such nonsense that a man can’t be good at a job due to his perceived personality style/traits. Look around the country at HC - and say based on what we think of their personality they can’t do that job. I think Dave Aranda is likely a genius intellect at the least above average. He can certainly figure out what needs to be said and style of his own recruitment and it just might be completely refreshing to have someone of high intellect and genuine and authentic style of his to analyze each position the recruit he needs and how he can get the position sold to his target recruits. How many of you critics have been lucky enough to have dinner or drinks with DA and actually get a feel of who he is. I really dislike this denigration of someone’s ability based on Nothing Concrete. I would be extremely happy to have someone of his character, integrity and intellect to represent LSU and start the journey of his own style and building of the LSU football program. I see his personality from a far as somewhat like Paul Manieri, one of the greatest baseball coaches in history. We messed up not getting Dan Mullen orJimbo or Leach who again has no personality harsh but known as a genius and he gets the fib done. Aleva couldn’t get Herman with Aleva his former roommate as DC An went to Texas and will have them in NC soon as Kirby Smart and Dan Mullen. I can think of no one more deserving of the chance to be our Leader than this wonderful, intelligent man. Is Lane Kiffen who you would want? Hell No he is a juvenile jerk who can recruit but and has less understanding of the world than Dava Aranda has in just his big toe. Every HC has their own unique qualities, gifts and talents. Look at all the talent lost to Nick Saban the past 10 years, even this year a top recruit, that boy was a strong lean to LSU. Saban alone didn’t get the kid that is why we have Recruiters and Aranda does the close with his truthful authentic and brilliant mind to sell LSU and that position to those kids. Honesty, Integrity and Brilliance and ability to teach are the characteristics a head coach needs. I am in for Dave Aranda. Honestly not sure why Aleva didn’t make him HC 2 years ago. Please be respectful of our staff and quit mudslinging at a great young coach who can be a great Leader at LSU. Please quit the smear that is done here is completely embarrassing why would anyone want to stay or take a job here when this is how y’all choose to tear down our staff and players and overall program. Your hurting us not helping us.
