Did he get a few snaps the other night? Thought I saw him in there at some point.....but was a little fuzzied eyed by then.

Kiffin hasn't even come close to that.
Kiffin is "the" master of creating offensive mismatches. He's directly responsible for bama's offensive progression over the last 3 years. His job was to establish a short, intermediate and long passing game for bama and he has succeeded.

Aranda didn't fare so well the first time he faced Bama. Lets hope he learned a lot from that first visit.
He had walk ons/3* recruits on his defense
And their senior safety was injured early in the game

We will see how the Oline does. I see this as a game in which Ensminger may use the short/medium passing game to set up the run. Someone on the board mentioned LF7 v 'Bama linebackers on passes. I bet we see some of that.
I think Ensminger will use a game plan similar to the one Bama used in the 2012 title game vs. LSU. He'll make the LBs defend the TE and RB in the passing game.

Kiffin is a mega douche with an extremely punchable face who was out of his depth as a HC at SC, but he is a top-notch offensive coordinator.
every word of this is correct.
Kiffin is a complete tool, but as an OC, the guy is fantastic. Yes, I realize Bama has a ton of talent, but he's succeeded every year, with Sims, Coker, and now Hurts at QB (each a first year starter).
That's called coaching, my friends.

He also didn't have the level of talent to work with that he does now

Just like Aranda's philosophy is on defense. Whoever wins their mismatches most often will win the game.

Gumps 35 - Wisconsin 17.....

Bama also had 502 yrds on them back in 2015

Well, I guess this would give me pause, if we were playing with the 2015 Wisconsin defensive roster and Dave Aranda with a year's less experience than he has now. As it is, meh.

Based on what exactly? His offense at USC in 2005-2006 when he had Reggie Bush, Lendale White, Matt Leinart, etc along with Steve Sarkisian to help him out? Or his offenses at Bama where he's had Heisman winners, almost unlimited 5* recruits, and the Saban system to baby him?
I'm not saying he's not a great coordinator but Aranda is truly on another level when you look at his body of work with lesser talent, consistency from year to year, and technical knowledge during interviews. Anyone can look like a superstar at USC in 2005 and Bama in 2014. We'll likely never get the chance to see Kiffin be the OC for a shite team but the offenses he oversaw as a head coach were far from impressive when he didn't have a fully stocked cupboard. Most truly elite coaches I.E. Aranda (in my opinion) look good even when the talent isn't quite there yet
I'm sure the weird fricks on this board who have Bama Stockholm syndrome are going to jump on my case and tell me how Kiffin is the greatest coach ever with absolutely no statistics to back it up or contextual awareness but sorry that I'm not really that impressed with a guy whose offense finished 25th in the S&P+ rankings last year when he had BY FAR the most talented offense in the country.

I'm certainly no expert but, Bama's offense looks one dimensional with a good run game and just some short passing. The key is staying on Hurt all night. Never give him space or time.

If I'm not mistaken, Bama kept Wisky's defense on the field a pretty long time with not a lot of depth behind the good players they had.
Interesting to see how he adjusts to Lane with a better secondary and more speed than he ever had.

yes.
The biggest coaching question is our O staff vs Saban, and that is not a knock on our coaches. Saban is really good unfortunately.

The issue will be can our OC match Saban on D
