How does a program that at one point could have been in consideration for RBU get to a point where the run game is nonexistent?!? We used to be the opposite…not able to throw the ball. But never thought LSU would be ever be known for not being able to RUN?!?

Most puzzling part of the season so far has been our inability to run the ball

The OL is garbage and there is no elite back. Durham is good, but those great run teams had NFL talent at running back.

Zero creativity
Zero push from the line

The line almost never gains ground in the running game.

All the football gurus on this board told me "if you stretch the defense out with 3 and 4 WR sets it opens up run lanes" blah blah blah during the miles years.

Turns out you still need to be a physical football team

There's no creativity involving the run game. People have been staying it consistently.

Just flat out down hill running every 2nd down.

The players in the OL are all pass blocking specialist with no balance and no QB who is a threat with his legs.

We have 2 tackles playing guard. It's that simple.

Yes. Fewer than 30 rushing yards is well below mediocre. As ALWAYS at this level I blame coaching. The team was yet again not prepared for the biggest game of the season, by far, to date. Another Coach Brian Kelly failure.

Durham isn't 100%, Josh Williams isn't a game breaker, Kaleb Jackson is Ty Davis Price on Price's worst day, DJ Chester is the weakest Center in the SEC, a person who never watched football knows a between the tackles run on 2nd down is coming,....

Just bc the O-line is good at pass blocking doesn’t mean they can run block.

Two years of not having to.

JD was our running game.

Running the ball is more than just a mindset.

With this line, run blocking is almost a foreign concept.

People want to say Chester sucks and we have tackles playing guard and maybe that's true, but it's not like Campbell and Jones are mauling guys. Talking about putting people in seatbelts is cool but you can't run block for shite Will and you get 4 procedure penalties a game. How can a 6'5" 300lb man not be good at run blocking? That shite is all about strength and want to.
