Will they give him one for the covid year? Dude would be 27-28 playing college ball.

Really sucks for this guy. He’s been a leader for the team. Really a guy everyone rooted for and wanted to do well

I’m hoping he could make it back for the postseason if he can’t get a medical redshirt. Gotta think he’d be able to though, he only played in 3 games.

He'll wind up like Bluto soon, 7 Years of college.

He will be 25 in November. If he has aspirations of playing pro ball he has to go pro.

As awesome as it would be to see, the young man probably needs to go make his money at this point.

If he has any ambitions of pro ball, he isn’t coming back and he needs to pursue that. It’s unfortunate that he got injured, but his Tiger career is over.

Besides the injury though was there a better way to go out for a defensive player than running back a fumble for a TD? So glad he got to do that. He’s the type of kid you always hope to recruit and not the me first attitudes of so many nowadays. He’s going to be a much better pro player than he ever was at LSU. He was just scratching the surface of what he could do in the right defense. I remember the running joke that you couldn’t say Andre Anthony’s name without mentioning Ray Thornton’s because their careers kind of went the exact same way until we switched to the 4-3 and AA took off. He went from being that tall lanky 3-4 OLB that weighed 225 to an all around good 260 pound 4-3 RDE. Hope his recovery is fast and he can show scouts something for LSU’s pro day and get himself drafted.

He needs to have a quick surgery and start rehabbing his arse off to get ready for the draft

I hope he’s close to a PhD.

If we looked anything like a playoff team he could opt for the LARS procedure (artificial ACL) and be back in January. Since that seems unlikely I’m guessing he’ll have the traditional procedure.

He could apply for another one and be granted it if he wanted. Virginia Tech had a 7th year guy last season who got multiple medical redshirts through waiver

He’ll be 25 in a few months. He should go Pro before it’s too late.

Covid doesn’t come into play for any player! Last year was a free year for all that want it. Meaning it doesn’t count towards anything in a players college career. So don’t even put that in the equation.

Anthony should be able to easily get a medical redshirt if he wants it.

He will rehab and be a workout warrior at the combine or pro day. Late round pick and to a practice squad. Could emerge as a top backup if he stays healthy. He has a degree. No reason to return.

I’m sure he will rehab and try to go pro while he is still under 30
