As a freshman stat line that’s not bad at all. He got a lot of reps. He has a really good change up and a decent move to 1st, ask Jake Brown, lol

Did his sister just graduate high school the morning before the game, and his dad chartered a plane to Chapel Hill? Not sure if that was him, but man we heard that story a few times...

Can they hoop? I know a guy up the street that can use a little help.

I don't think he'll ever be a starter here. Hopefully he can develop into a nice bullpen piece.

As a 6'6" freshman with a changeup. I'll take that for the bullpen. I bett they get his velo up a little bit also when he is in the weight room and pitching lab.

Plus Jay got to see him live and up close and liked him enough to offer. He probably will not be a weekend starter but we need guys like him in the pen.

Solid acquisition. Always have faith in Jay Johnson. His press Conference yesterday was a complete change from his previous messages. He seemed pretty annoyed with the landscape of College Baseball being so heavily slighted toward transferring and not being based on Development in a program.

Jay was being honest, there is no more program building. It’s year to year. He seemed a little bummed out because he said his fortay is program building. I think that was the primary reason Saban left football. This no restrictions portal is exhausting for coaches.

He may not have been right. BA's Teddy Cahill is reporting Cowan committed to LSU.

I don't think it's out of the question that LSU could/would take both of them.

I'm expecting us to lose a lot of pitching, and no telling how good some of the guys returning from injury will look.

6'6" 190' and throwing 95+ as a Freshman! After a year or two in our strength and conditioning program he will be hitting 100. I jokingly told some Cousins that Johnson needed to send someone over to make an offer before they left the field.

Was Wicker touching 95+? I don't recall him having that much velo. I could be wrong, bc of the amount of off-speed he threw.

Nah he was high 80s - low 90s like 91 tops. Change up was pretty filthy but he threw a pitch that looked like a slider that broke left to right at 77 that was nasty. All kinds of break. 2 more years. That’s a good piece
