I called it last year with Devin White.
His stats this season
133 tackles
13.5 TFLs
4.5 sacks
1 INT
0 FF (I couldn’t believe this)
Rashard is going to have a monster season. All SEC. He’s been coached by 2 all time great Dline coaches. Say what you want about O, but he is a great Dline coach. Obviously Pete Jenkins is as well.One of the brightest kids on the team. Ultimate team player. And he’s an absolute monster. At 6’3” 300lb he has a a very quick step and plays with excellent leverage, has violent hands and a high motor. He had times where he took over against Bama.
I like Rashard Lawrence in 2018 for:
60+ tackles
12+ TFLs
6+ sacks
3+ PD

He was an early enrollee last year so he's going to have had 2+ years under Aranda. He'll be the most athletic player Aranda has ever coached. Aranda is going to turn this kid into an All American.

On top of that, it is not like he went out on a limb...most though white would breakout after watching him against Louisville. Rashard is not going out on a limb either. Most expect great season if he stays healthy.

Rashard will clearly be a big impact player this year for anyone who watched our D (he was last year whenever he was healthy enough to be in the lineup). And when Saban was trying to punch it in one more time at the end of the 4th quarter last year, Lawrence was stuffing guys and hitting the defensive players to get them fired up even though it was over (and they didn't get in on the plays Saban ran). He has the eye of the Tiger for sure.

Lawrence really knows how to use his hands, an attribute that a lot of young DL usually don’t grasp until they get to the pros.
