sounds like someone who isn’t totally invested.

This is why you don't give 10 year guaranteed contracts. Obviously, the market dictates that you do, but something has to give besides the boosters to buy out!

Kelly has no incentive to stay at the top of his abilities. I didn't like the way he kept saying "they", "they", "they" in the press conference as if he wasn't a part of this team or the efforts put forth.

Is Matt McMahon still the LSU basketball coach?

I dont think this is really relevant. McMahon was hired on knowing we would struggle and was likely guaranteed a certain number of seasons regardless of record. Additionally basketball will never get the same sort of support that football gets at LSU.

Most likely. I no longer have any belief that he will win a title at LSU though.

Kelly will be the coach next season. Not even a question. Will have almost an entire new Offensive staff and he will have another few years to right the ship. Next year is not going to be pretty as it currently stands but never know with recruits or portal players. But he will not be let go. Also I love Woodward, but at some point one has to realistically ask is he to be trusted to make the Football Head Coaching hire? Hes done well with 2 other sports Head Coach but he has been riding on the hires he made at Washington.

The next two hires he made in Jimbo and Brian Kelly have not be great. Kelly still technically has the opportunity to right the ship and be a successful hire by the end of his tenure but at this current point in time that doesn't seem like the likely outcome. The landscape of College Football makes it easier for Coaches to go to other conferences where they have weaker schedules and can get into the playoff just from how their schedule shapes out. LSU will not be a place where you can do that. You will always have to beat legitimate teams and actually be a good team. We will never be able to sneak into the playoffs like SMU, Penn State, or ND.

Yes, with new OL and OC

Only way he’s not is if he retires.
