Hmm...that's news to me. I thought when he first came in people praised him and Jennings both for their work ethic.

It's just my humble opinion, but from what I have seen so far, if the season starts today, I would take Rettig over Jennings to start

Which puzzled me even more why he wasn't getting more playing time cause the other two wasn't playing particularly well either.

does it bother anyone else that we ran off one pocket passer and have another buried in the depth chart in favor of "dual threat" guys

Because really that's all you need to know to decide who to start - is he dual-threat or a pocket passer? If you're not sure, check his Rivals HS profile. If you can master this you're ready to be a head coach in TigersforEver's SEC.

Anytime a better QB doesn't play it's because he doesn't know the whole play book yet which means they'd rather use a mobile guy without the ability to pass. Or he can't read a defense. Which I bet none of them are good at due to age. I don't look forward to this fall due to lack of experience. Prepare for average with high potential. With a few big plays to make us hopeful.

Doesn't have anything to do with dual threat vs non duel threat. Has to do with ability. It appears that Harris and Jennings have stepped ahead of Rettig by a great deal at this time. Doesn't mean that Rettig can't improve and close the talent gap between him and the other two QB's. If he sticks around I could see him being the starting QB after Jennings graduates and Harris possibly leaves early. Hope he sticks around because I think he could be a valuable asset to the team in the future. He just seems to be more of a developmental project at this time, kind of like Rivers was.

I don't think Rettig's our guy. I wouldn't oversimplify it that way. First of all, Rettig isn't Mett. Not nearly, especially in regards to arm strength. Secondly, I'm not so sure Anthony is technically considered a dual threat QB.
