He should be . They haven't played defense well here lately

Absolutely, we were driving the lanes unimpeded, that was the worst defense I've seen outside most of our defensive performances this year.

No communication, slow or non-existent rotations, lots of hands moving but not much feet moving. Looked eerily familiar.

If JJ hadn't played walkons nearly 5 minutes it would've been closer.

I thought that was interesting too. LSU was on a run, cut the lead in half and then in comes Eddlemen, Bridgewater and Elbert.

He should be pissed. His team looked and played like crap against a very bad LSU team.

They could win by 100 pts and he'll still find a way to be pissed at them.

You missing the poster's point, that he's still calling them out despite he will always find fault. Reminds me of Saban, never stopped coaching. Even if clock has 1 second left in game. Fussing, angry, holding them accountable.

This pretty much sums up what Jones has turned LSU basketball into. Other coaches get pissed when they don't slaughter us.

I do perceive there's a sense among the players (true or not) that it's the end of the line for CJJ after this year. And they probably do like CJJ....everybody does...that's why he got this job.

Problem is they IMHO obviously don't respect him. So they may go out playing hard, which is what they should have been doing all along and absolutely were not.

Now playing right and smart might still be an issue.

Bruh a top 10 team in the country beat LSU by 7...LSU a team who routinely gets beat by middle of the pack SEC teams by 30.

He should be pissed....he should be kicking their assess all the way home from the locker room.

That is why he is a one of the best coaches in the business. Look at what that translates to

One-time National Champion (2012)
6 - Final Fours
16 - Conference Champion
13 - Conference Tourney Champion
17 - NCAA Tournament Appearances w/ a 48-16 Record
681 - Career Wins
192 - Career Losses

236-52 Record at Kentucky

And my favorite stat...

In 25 years of coaching, he only has one season where he was under .500, it was his first season at UMass when he went 10-18. He has won 17 or more games each year since including five seasons with 35 or more wins

No.

He double talks every one of his players and his schtick gets called out after 2 or 3 years. That's why he is so much better with the one and done's.

Still a million times better than JJ.

When are the shots at Coach Jones going to stop? It is not an coaching issue (and I'm not the only one saying that).

The players stepped up. I suspect we'll see good things Saturday night.

Know how I know you didn't actually watch the game?

I don't know if people give Cal enough credit for being a good coach rather than just a great recruiter.

He is not the greatest X's and O's guy but he is an outstandting psychological coach which is what all those egos need. Sometimes he overdoes it like he did a couple of yrs ago with the Harrison twins. That team got so brow beat they just about quit and he let off of them and they started playing much better.
