Both will be in portal after season

He is small and not physical. Both can be fixed but he has to want to.

You said in another thread on the recruiting board that Jayden Miles isn't Lane's type. Can you tell me more what you meant by that?
Lane likes medium-sized backs that are fearless and attack the LOS at full speed to shock the defense into big plays. Miles is just a bit of a prodder compared to what he usually likes. He’d fit better in other offenses. Dillin Jones actually isn’t his prototypical type but he checks most of the boxes that Lane likes. Minus the HR ability

Good stuff, thank you

It’s a good problem to have. If they are truly or 3rd and 4th running backs that is a crazy deep group.

Our fans are conditioned to the RB by committee style we’ve had for a long time. That isn’t what Lane does if he can help it. His lead backs are gonna carry it 300+ times and the 2 and 3 guys 5-7 times a game so if people think it’s going to be spread out like we’re used to seeing they’re just wrong. It’s gonna be 1 guy then a drive or 2 for the other guys. Doesn’t mean they’re terrible.

They both are not great at finding the lanes yet. They also don't seem to run with violence like Jones.

There’s a good video somewhere of Urban Meyer explaining it, I’ll try and find it. As the defense is trying to diagnose the play, they want the RB to be able to spring loose. Kind of like what happens in the veer.
It’s more of a sturdiness / fearlessness component than a true size one I guess.

Ya please post if you do find it, I'd love to watch. Thanks

Jones is just a physical back and love watching that dude finish runs he was the one giving hits instead of taking hits if that makes sense

Hey just not physical
Enough plain and simple! Lane wants a physical back that can finish runs

It’s not a matter of which line they run behind, they go down every time the first guy hits them. The two backs ahead of were breaking tackles constantly. First hit rarely took them down … JS

I still think you will see great things from Berry this year.

I was not watching too hard. Did Durham get a snap?
