Praise the lord, paul can evaluate players. Too bad it's a year too late. The only good arm in the outfield last year didn't play where the arm is the most important.

Still doesn’t look comfortable fielding the balls out there. Not a lot of mistakes just not as fluid as you would normally like but this may help.

Maybe I’m wrong but I always thought you hide the weakest arm in RF? Am I wrong?

Strongest arm goes in right because they have to throw all the way to third base. Left field has the shortest throws.

You want the best arm in right so that he has a prayer of making the throw to 3rd to prevent the double from turning into a triple.

Yes.

RF throws to 3rd base. LF doesn't throw to 1st base. All OF throws to 2nd base and home plate. Therefore, strongest arm goes in right field, all things being equal.

Cabrera needs to be way better for us next year, no matter where he plays. All the talent in the world but just couldn't put it together this year. Yes, I know he wasn't completely healthy. Cabrera, Beloso, and Garza need to be the 3-4-5 guys.

Yeah. I don't really care about the outfield positions. They mean very little. What matters is Cabrera's offense. Frankly, he was the disappointment on offense this season. Every other player really produced about what you should have expected entering the season. I would have bet a lot that Cabrera would have hit 50 points higher with similar or better power and walk numbers. I was amazed at how not superstarish he was this season.

In real base ball. Which the SEC is. The strongest outfield arm is always in right field. The right fielder has to make the throw to third base. That is why the strong arm is needed

Bo Jackson didnt play right. Just sayin......and he had one of thebstrongest arms in all of baseball. So it depends on the player.

Can someone tell me why I have double digits downvotes for this comment? Do people not actually agree with this assessment? He was a guy who was thought to be a budding all-american before the season who batted .286.

General rule is best glove in left, best wheels in center and best arm in right.

Bo Jackson had all three so the rules don’t apply to him. We’re talking about normal mortals here.

But in all seriousness you’re right. It does depend on the player but I never did understand the obsession with duplantis in right field. Maybe Dups was just more comfortable over there I really don’t know.
