BYU is not going to be good this year. Not saying we clean the floor with them as they will have played a game the week before, but BYU is not that good.

They return 4 OL, QB, RB from a team 15th in the nation in scoring

They return 7 defensive starters from a 9 win team.

Most projections have them winning 8-10 games this year.

Not to mention they get a tune-up game before us as well

You have absolutely no clue what you're talking about if you think they are going to be one of the better teams we face this year.

You clearly dont have a clue about BYU.

I would put them 4th or 5th on our schedule in terms of toughest team we face. Behind only Alabama, Auburn & Florida definitely. Maybe behind MSU, but they beat them last year, and might do it again this year too.

How do you know how good I think they are?

I think they are gonna be one of the best teams we play this season.

This is very important for them...... having played a game before we do is a huge factor...

ESPN has them at 8.8 wins and LSU a 86% chance of winning.

If we come out prepared and not complacent, we'll win. Otherwise, who knows.

They replacing their QB, RB and two OL. They lost 3 senior WR's that got a ton of playing time. Granted Mangum was a starter before he got hurt, so QB I guess could be a toss up.

Ok, maybe not you, Mickey...but a large % of Tiger fans I've talked to don't realize how good BYU is.

We will need to score on every possession! For some reason pocket passer give us more problems than athletic Johnny Manziel type qbs.

We will need to apply immense pressure on Mangum to keep him off balance.

I disagree with you. Physically, BYU players are more mature mentally and physically. Hell the average age of their team is like 24 years old

Their offensive line was good last year (especially in the run game). And they return 3 or 4 starters, depending on who you ask. I've watched a bunch of their games on YouTube the past couple weeks and their line always gets great push.

All of their skill players are fundamentally sound but nobody scares you athletically now that their RB Williams is in the NFL. They had a really good safety (white guy, single digit jersey number, had a ton of pics the past two years) but I think he graduated.

But Mangum, their qb is really good, so he's going to be able to distribute.

I think they will be able to move the ball well against LSU. But last year they relied allot on the qb run/zone read plays near the goal line to score. Mangum is not that type of qb. But he's more accurate so the short passing game will improve.

Their D line was also pretty good. They didn't dominate any of the games I watched, but they more than held their own and never got pushed around.

They beat Arizona, Mississippi St, and Michigan St last year.

Those teams had a combined record of 12-27. 11-27 in the regular season.

They also have a beast at TE.

I think our DL will be too much for their OL and our CBs will lock down their WRs.
