Yes. If he doesn't throw for 4000 yards and 35 touchdowns, we should clean house. Doesn't matter what our record is, as long as we have a fast paced, high scoring offense. Lmao

Get the frick out of here

We need an offense and we’ve needed one for a decade.

Anyone who says otherwise is fricking ignorant as shite.

Ehh this is a stretch:

TDs:

Of the 16 passing TDS, 7 came from the last two games of the season

Of the 7 rushing TDs, 3 came in the last two games of the season

Yards:

Of the 2,894 passing yards, 664 came from the last 2 games of the season

Of the 399 rushing yards, 124 came from the last 2 games of the season.

So if you look at the regular season & take out a 7 OT loss, he finishes with 2,200 passing, 275 rushing & 13 TDs (9/4),

I hope he passes for more yards and has to run less.

Dude is a warrior but he isn’t invincible.

3100 passing
300 rushing

35 total TDs

That's reasonable; although considering we have the #1 and #6 RBs in the country I can see them cutting into that rush and TD total.

I don't care where it comes from as long as scoring (TDs) and red zone efficiency improves.

No shite slow one. We need an OFFENSE. That doesn't mean he is a failure if he doesn't throw 4000 yards or throw for 30 TDS. I don't want a high tempo fast paced offense, I want a damn good offense that has big play capability, utilizes the entire field, and can still run the ball. I want an offense that capitalizes on the other teams weakness, and that game plans around our own weaknesses. Notice I haven't put a total on yards, TDS, etc? We do all that other stuff, we will dominate teams.

Let's hope he doesn't have to rush that much, since the RB position is much improved.

I never said they didn’t count. I was just pointing out that outside of a game where it was significantly easier to score TDs ( You don’t have to have a sustainable drive to reach the red zone in 7 OTs) and a meaningless bowl games against a horrid Central Florida defense, the stats don’t really tell a great story. There’s no sense in fluffing stats to overhype the kid. He’s good, but our offense was seriously lacking in scoring points.

How many weeks did we go in a row without scoring a passing TD last season? How many top QBs have similar stats?
