Ya think?
At this point every team in the SEC is hoping for this.

I bet that football he's holding has a lot of good chocolate in it.

I was critical after the first few games. Glad to be wrong.

Fact if the matter is that he was sucking but things appear to be improving
It happens
Why is that so puzzling to anyone?

The hammy injury was the best thing to happen to Leavitt. Just like that cheap shot on Burrow vs UCF.

I think the problem was that a lot of folks had unrealistic expectations of who Leavitt was.
He was the No. 1 or 2 QB in the portal depending on what messenger you prefer, but he was not the no. 1 QB in the country or even the no. 10 QB in the country.
Folks who rate these things generally had him in the 14-18 range among QB's coming into the season. He's projected as a mid round draft pick in most mock drafts right now and he was coming off an injury and did not participate in real live football situations in spring.
Given all that he's been about what I expected with the caveat that I did not expect him to be as good a runner as he is.

But but but State was without Kamario Taylor, so none of those stats are accurate.
It's the last 4 games, not just the last one, so I don't know why anyone would say that.
Fans do need to be real about it though. His last four games have been against TAMU, McNeese, UK, and MS State.
TAMU can't beat anybody decent. McNeese, who cares? UK, playing pretty good defense so that was a solid performance.
MS State? Ultra conservative game plan on both sides of the ball, so it's hard to draw a lot from that performance other than he did what he was supposed to do. Anyone watching it could see State consistently played 10 yds off the line, but that's not a knock on Leavitt. Take what they are giving to you. With no Kamario Taylor, there wasn't much threat to score, and, therefore, not much urgency for LSU to have to score. Again, zero reason for Leavitt to push the ball down field.
@Auburn, Bama, Texas, @ UTn, Arkansas - I don't think you'll really know what he's about until you get through the next 4 games.
As an aside, really bummed Kamario Taylor wasn't healthy for the LSU game and the Bama game for that matter. Showing a lot of promise, and had he been healthy, State fans would get a better idea of what they have in him.

One of the best defense in the SEC yet some want him gone
I think a lot of people hear "best defense in the SEC" and think "no team will ever convert on third down or score against us"

He has definitely improved since game 1. He is a good QB - not great, but good. He can be inaccurate at times but no more than most QBs. My only concern is that he has a tendency to be very careless with the football, although that has improved somewhat as well. If he can simply run the offense, not turn the ball over, and get the ball to his play makers, this team can be special.

News flash. There’s a whole lot of knee jerk reacting dumbass fans out there.

Baker is average at best . Name a game he shut down a good offense in 3 years
I see. So in your view EVERY DC in the SEC is average. As a poster you are below average.
