There are more reasons to think his numbers will improve (not hard to do, TBH) than there are to think they won't.

New offense, new receivers to get on the same page with, limited reps (compared to other starting QBs at this point in the season) with those receivers, limited number of career starts for him to date...all suggest room for growth.

Neither of those teams will be top 10 at the end of he season.

Both of them will have 3+ losses

I can accept a few dips in percentage points in exchange for no interceptions, but when you rely on your QB to make a 4th down throw to give you a chance to win, with Jeaux Burreux's completion percentage, we were extremely, and I mean EXTREMELY LUCKY, to pull this out. I'd test Miles Brennan before I'd try that again.
that is insane.

You'd take a QB out BECAUSE he makes the play in clutch situations?

Start every game with LSU down by double digits in the 4th quarter and he'd be completing 85% of his passes.

Dude's clutch.

this is definitely a case where stats don't tell the whole story.

1. miami has a good defense yet lsu shut the offense down in the 3rd because they were so far ahead
2. same with slu except after halftime
3. lsu moved the ball on a top notch auburn defense. burrow made some really, really great throws under pressure in his first big road game ever and only 3rd game at lsu with a new o coordinator and new faces on offense. the most telling observation - that game winning gutsy, clutch drive. another great quality, auburn made some adjustments and the passing game was limited. burrow/ens made adjustments and started having success again. he is absolutely a champion.

anyone who is watching can see these positive aspects and can take the stats with a grain of salt

Could the quality of the defenses faced (2 top 10 teams) have something to do with this??

We have not gained more than 370 yards in a game. We have a great defense that gives us the short field 4-5 times a game, and we have a kicker that is pretty much money inside 50 and still pretty good outside of 50.

Has echoes of 2011 except with a much better offense.

Several things have to happen for the QB to have success in the passing game. It isn’t all on the QB. The play calling has to be such that it fits with the QBs ability and gives him a reasonable chance at success. The OL has to give him time to make the play. The receiver has to get open and then catch the ball. The QB has to deliver the ball on time.
A good QB can improvise and overcome break downs in these but it’s only a matter of time before bad things happen. We can give JB9 a pass on his poor completion percentage as long as the team is able to win. So far, we havent faved a team that can out-talent and out-coach us. The only teams that can do both this year are Bama and Ga.
State will be another game like Auburn that we should win since it’s at home. Bama will show us how to defend against Jimbo’s offense on Sat.
We can out-talent the rest of the teams on our schedule.
We lose to Bama and Ga if our QB doesn’t have a significantly better completion percentage. We aren’t gonna stop Tua for 4 quarters so I think we need to score ~30pts to beat Bama. I think we can score on this defense if our OL can give Burrow a time to make a play and SE calls the game of his life.
