I actually think this is the closest one yet.

Foles is a very close second.

Aikman is probably the best comparison I've seen.

No it's not. Aikman was a statue in the pocket. Burrow has way better feet & mobility than Aikman ever dreamed of. I doubt even a young Aikman has the ability to slide in the pocket & make this throw.

His build and mechanics remind me a lot of Kerry Collins, but he's obviously more mobile than Collins was

Kerry Collins had a much stronger arm but he also had a much slower, elongated throwing motion that lead to a lot of interceptions.

In terms of physical abilities & mechanics, this a great comparison. Burrow has more leadership qualities about him than Romo which falls under the intangibles category.

Uh......no. Stafford has a much stronger arm than Burrow & it's not even close. Stafford also seriously lacks in the leadership category & he isn't a winner like Burrow.

Well I’ve seen Brady, Brees, and Rodgers so far ITT

So I’ll say Mahomes

I don't know that there's a perfect 1:1 comparison, but he reminds me of the younger, in-his-prime Philip Rivers. Fiery, accurate, decent arm but not a cannon. Elite pre-snap reads, knows exactly where to go with the ball, and demands perfection out of his teammates. Again, not a perfect comparison, but just kind of reminds me of him.

That's a decent comparison but Burrow is still more mobile than Rivers. Besides that, it's a fair comparison.

Kirk Cousins, Ben Rothlisberger.

I like Ben because of his confidence- slightly cocky - demeanor. Also his escape ability. Not a true runner but can extend plays. Similar game as Burrow.

If Brady weren’t the GOAT then more people would be making that comparison. They have a similar build and mechanics and tendencies.

Stafford throws the ball harder than Burrow. Even when there is absolutely NO REASON to throw the ball that hard.

"Throws hard" does NOT equate to "stronger arm".

Throwing with touch makes for a much more catchable ball. Stafford was a career 62.2% passer in the NFL, and 57.1% career in college.

in the case of Rodgers, Aikman said it last night. He can make every type of throw you need, in the pocket or on the move, with uncanny accuracy.

I love Burrow, but there are better comparisons for him mentioned in this thread.

Alex Smith. Accurate, can move better than expected, not the strongest arm.
