for those two to tuck their tail between their legs leave without a fight! I expected more with the new 4 game redshirt rule.

I thought (and hoped) the same thing. The only thing that could cause this kind of movement this early was that it was quite obvious from Day 1 that Burrow was far better than anybody else.

Without question! I kept reminding the goofball posters to stop looking at those stats (that they didn't give us a full glimpse). ACCURACY! DECISION-MAKING!!

I truly think that Sale and/or Loving must've also impressed and the two newly transferred shmucks lacked the chest to compete form the bottom.

As I stated before, there was never a QB contest. There was Burrow and then the rest jockying for 2-4. Plain and simple, he was that much better than the other 3 when they were in scrimmage. All of the "info" that got put out with stats and how the QB race was shaping up was nothing more than O and DP trying to keep things steady and try their best to keep anyone from leaving, but the guys knew what was up.

For frick's sake people, there is only so much fighting you can do as the 3rd and 4th string QB.

There is only so much time and attention that can be given to the 1st and 2nd string guy. When those guys have 2 or more years of eligibility each, it doesn't make any sense for the other QBs to stay.

For better or worse, Burrow is the man. Now let's just hope the receivers can catch the damned ball. I not given the questions at the RB position right now it could be a long year

Right! And after burrow tucked his tail between his legs to go to Lsu. Think how bad off narcisse and McMillan would have been at Ohio st!!!!! Probably too scared to get out of bed in the morning.

JEEBUS!!

Narcisse has been very classy about this. Dude tried and did not crack the top 2 on the depth chart. He hasn't played football in 3 years (very nearly) and WANTS to. He gave it his best and is moving on so he can develop and play a game he loves.

I've not heard anything from JM. But, he has always been a good dude. I assume he is being classy, too.

We be angry at them? JEEBUS

Thank you, VolTiger13, for the good/reliable info. as always.

My ex-cousin-in-law has been texting me similar info.

He was passed up by an underclassman that was more athletic and got valuable game time last year after Burrow was injured. He just flat-out lost his spot. I wouldn't say he "tucked his tail" being the backup QB at all.

This is stupid. To me, the competition being open line was a ploy I get these guys to stay and they realized it wasn’t and bolted.

As many posters have said, McMillan makes sense, he wants to play, thought he had a chance but really didn’t. Narcisse makes less sense.

However, neither are on the team anymore, I wish them good luck, but ready to go into the season with one less distraction. I think we surprise people and win some games we aren’t expected to.

Or maybe it was quite obvious he was the starting QB the moment LSU went out and signed him.

Then again, I could be completely wrong. Maybe Ogeron knew who his starting QB was after spring practice, but just wanted to make sure his bench was solidified by signing a grad transfer. Maybe Burrow didn't leave OSU because he wanted to go to a school where he would be the starter. Maybe he just wanted to see what it was like to be a backup QB for another team.

Actually, I think you could take it either way. Maybe he didn’t look that much better than them and they felt like he was simply promised the job and didn’t do anything to separate himself.

I really hope it was the first reason though and he’s just that much better. Either way, if he was even or slightly better, that says something about a guy who wasn’t here for spring practice when they were already installing pieces of the new offense.

Yeah, I am a little afraid of this as well. They probably felt misled and had no problem leaving in fall camp because they would have done so earlier

But I think Burrow should be capable. Not trying to root for/against anyone.

Agree!! Stats from scrimmages are deceiving to a point. Many of the plays are situational where the coaches put the offense or defense in tough spots. I think some fans think the scrimmages are just like a game. They are very scripted.
