I really think we run the ball on them too. Difference in game may be the running game. Wide open Offense leaves lots of running lanes to attack.

LSU plays the run well, Alabama’s not going to run all over LSU.

Alabama’s DC has as much to fear or more from LSU’s offense!

Bama has worse issues. Their D line is complete shite.

Alabama rushed for TWO HUNDRED EIGHTY YARDS last year against our "defensive genius."

That tends to happen when your offense can’t get more than a 3 and out every fricking time they are on the field.

Mine too. I think they will be able to run the ball with Harris.

WTF are you talking about? Stopping the run has been one of the better things LSU has been able to do defensively

It's true what they're saying. Our Dline hasn't been able to create real pressure in years. To get home rushing 4 is rare at best. Chaisson has been average at best. All of this is true and will be a huge factor in this game. Still like the Tigers by 13.

It’s going to be in the 50s Saturday. It was 867 degrees in atx that night.

They don’t play zone well, that’s what happened in the UCF game last year, and they couldn’t cover them. That’s going to be the game, if they can cover the receivers in man. I’d imagine Bama thinks they can get them out of man and soften them up in quarters like UCF did.”

Did they look at our personnel for that game? God these are some trash takes.

I expect Tua to torch our defense. I do think Burrow will torch them. Let’s hope the good guys win.
...AGREE... neither team’s defense is going to stop high octane offenses for both teams with high profile All World receivers... the team with the least mistakes and whoever has the ball on the last drive wins....

Jam their corners at the line and rush 5-6.

Jam their 'receivers', not corners.

Don’t give Tuna more than 1.2-1.5 seconds to get rid of the ball.

1.2 to 1.5 seconds, not even possible. Even if no one is blocking a LB or safety, they can't cover 12 yards in 1.2 to 1.5 seconds.
Here are some of the quickest sacks of the 2018/2019 NFL season.

Most of these, even when the defender is untouched, takes over 2 seconds. I know you want to sound like you know what you are talking about, but you don't. Think about things before you comment.

Put linebackers out there on the WRs if necessary. Just make damn sure you either knock them on their arse or at least knock off their timing.

Dude, you have no idea how quick college receivers are coming off the line. This would never work. If it would work don't you think every DC would be doing it?

This is pretty spot on. If we don’t get a pass rush with the front 4 it will be a very long day.

Now do Bama's defense against LSU's offense...

Some of those were completely exaggerated, but this was a really good analysis.

quote:

“The matchup for them is going to be if they can cover them in man,” said an assistant who faced LSU this year. “They don’t play zone well, that’s what happened in the UCF game last year, and they couldn’t cover them. That’s going to be the game, if they can cover the receivers in man. I’d imagine Bama thinks they can get them out of man and soften them up in quarters like UCF did.”

This statement is penultimate stupidity. The defensive backfield we fielded against UCF was one injury away from using the water boy .

Right. Kirkland has to step in from the WR position and play the entire second half as a DB after Alexander was DQ’d.

All of this has been talked about here extensively except for Delpit's coverage skills. But Aranda does keep him out of coverage mostly

Yeah. Guys who are no longer on the team or don't play much as opposed to a future top 10 draft choice playing Saturday.

That was way off base. Some of the other stuff said I can agree with.
