So what? South Alabama could be relying on this game to get into the College Football Playoffs. South Alabama is an FBS team, just because they're in the Sun Belt doesn't mean they should automatically be thrown to the side. That's not protecting the integrity of the game. It's not like they can find and schedule another school to take our place this late.

Yep. Re-scheduling for 11/19 is basically an admission by the SEC that there are the "haves" and "have-nots" in FBS.

Kind of like Animal Farm: "All animals are equal, but some are more equal than others."

Everyone - of course - already knows this, but only in spirit.

When it comes down to the nitty-gritty of the politics and executive-level administration, things get a little more complicated.

Well, the point is, even minimizing south Alabama, why should we give up a home game and put ourselves in the position to play 3 SEC road games in twelve days?

If LSU's goal this year is to win the SEC then the game should be played anywhere or time. 3 road games in a row or not. I don't realistically see Bama and A&M both losing 2 games. It could happen but why leave your fate to another school. If the home game revenue is more important then keep the South Alabama game. LSU gets the short straw either way.

If we are forced to play 3 road games in less than 12 days, the likelihood of us winning all 3 is pretty slim.

I agree..it sucks but those seem to be the current choices.

Ask the players. Or better yet, tell them that. "Look guys, we don't believe you can win, so we are just going to go ahead and play South Alabama, OK?" I would bet my bottom dollar that the players would rather play Florida that day than play South Alabama.

Ask the coaching staff & trainers how well the players' bodies would hold up playing 3 heavy weights back to back to back. Did you ever hear of injuries? We have a hard time playing the hawgs after the bama game. Care to guess how beat up we would be playing the gators, aggies, bama & the aggies with only one wkend off? What are the odds of Fournette holding up, putting his pro stock at risk?

Dude, we're playing back to back to back anyway. Does it matter where we play or who we play? Do more injuries happen on the road? We play 3 games in 13 days anyway. They would just all be on the road. Tell me it's hard to win them all, I can buy that. Don't bring up injuries, that's a cop out.

Do you even know our schedule? We play Alabama, Arkansas, South Alabama, and A&M with no weeks off in that 4 game stretch. Replace South Alabama with Florida, suddenly Fournette is at risk? C'mon man! Try again.

I'm with you, but this point makes zero sense. They're 3-2 with losses to ULL and GA Southern and are not making any part of the College Football Playoffs . The only thing I can think is you believe the Sun Belt schools play for the same playoff system McNeese and Southeastern would be playing, which is incorrect.

It would actually be 4. You would have Bama at home, at Arkansas, at Florida, at Texas A&M

Exactly, and how is that any different than playing Miss State, Auburn, Missouri, and Florida all without a bye? Should LSU have fought the league and said we just can't do it? Our players' bodies just won't hold up.

This coupled with the fact that LSU did it for Katrina and Rita while helping the victims and having family involved in that real devastation. Florida has zero excuse and need to put this game on.

Okay, then LSU is 2 losses with 1 in the SEC and we have an interim coach. Let's just forget about it, eh?

No, that's the D1-FCS official NCAA playoff (which Presbyterian would potentially be participating in, although they're 1-3).

The SEC ought to be ashamed, as should UF. This was a move that benefited UF in every possible way - to the detriment of every other SEC team. Whatever happens LSU loses. This blunder will cost the SEC lots of money and a severe loss of confidence. No matter how the season plays out the East and West champions and the championship game are tarnished.
