He will have won his 2nd NC and beaten one of the few other active 2 time NC winners 3 times in a row. Not to mention its the best Saban team ever.
Yeah, I'd say he would deserve that spot. I don't think LSU wins but if they do I don't mind calling him that.

Good goodness. The guy actually contributed a reasonable non-flaming post, and only said what you would expect any fan of any team to say -- unflamingly to boot.
Might want to save and channel your energy for where it's actually needed. You should have plenty of opportunities elsewhere, no doubt.

You're right. I didn't think you had a chance Nov 5. If we lose again Bama will deserve it. That's OK. I can live with that.
What will suck is if LSU loses and Bama takes home the trophy even though you're 1-1 with us. That kind of thing puts added pressure on LSU.

I for one appreciate the comment but I thought Bama had a better team last year with Ingram/Richardson, a more experienced QB and Julio at WR. Maybe I'm missing something, you know your team better than I do.
Maybe at the very end of the year when we played MSU in the bowl game, but this team is light years better during the season. How else can you explain the #1 rank on defense in so many categories? Hasn't been done since the 30's. Our offense might be a slight tick less effective but not by that much. I just don't remember a defense close to this good combined with a decent offense.

I feel the notion that each team has different "pressures" to win is a bit overblown.
The way I see it, both teams are under the pressure of playing for the national championship, period.
Everything else is a bunch of hooey.
