Felony second-degree battery
Wow that sucks. What really sucks is that with all the rumor, hearsay, and conflicting reports regarding the situation, they must have good reason.

I think everyone should chill with the sarcastic jokes in this thread.
Welcome to the rant. Where people make a living off of crude humor and off color sarcasm. This is how we do. If you want real answers, go to the library!

Being arrested is one thing, but will they get a conviction with all the conflicting stories ?

SS, you don't know a damn thing. Just a Tulane Green Turd seeking attention. Move along now.

I'm wondering if Landry will be issued a misdemeanor summons and not formally arrested. Unfortunately that will drag this episode out even longer but most people strongly suspect that Landry will be charged.

BRPD better have some great evidence that they have actually managed to keep quiet. This will probably get pleaded down, but regardless this has been a PR nightmare for the BRPD.

The Code of Student Conduct says these are the reasons a student can be in violation. It doesn't say you will be automatically "separated from the University" but that is one of the options...along with probation, :
1. Convicted of a felony in a state or federal court;
2. Formally charged by civil authorities with the commission
of a crime of such nature that the student's continued presence at the University potentially threatens the property, health, safety, or well being of members of the University community;
3. Believed by the Dean or designee to have committed a crime of such nature that his or her continued presence at the University potentially threatens the property, health, safety, or well being of the University community, but civil authorities have not brought charges or imposed penalties;
4. The subject of an agency arrest, including being charged with a
misdemeanor offense;
5. Believed by the Dean or designee to have committed any act of violence that, by its very nature, indicates the individual might present a threat to the security and safety of the University community;
I am sure he would have to go before a panel and have a hearing.

Championship! Hate to say it but Landry was the only one I was concerned with...and yes, I know it's just football. Feel bad for all of them though.
Its tough but the law is the law. Justice has to be served. Sucks for them because most bar brawls go unnoticed by authorities. But those with much given to them, much is expected.
