I was impressed by the improvement in his footwork.
He made a really good move on the long TD run and the 4th down play where I believe in the past he would have gotten tackled in the back field

Running someone down has lots, LOTS to do with angles.

I'm going to assume you intended for that gif to include the part where he breaks out of his leg braces

No, I didn’t , I’m not even saying he’s slow . His running form is very weird lol but it’s effective for him and that’s all that matters .

Lol he’s definitely faster than a 4.8. I ran a 4.86 in highschool and I’m slow as shite.

eh, he has pretty average speed. Even Guice was teasing him on social media after the game about being slow

I could maybe see that. My guess is around 4.7 flat.

Darrel Williams..i love him, but he was a 4.72 back that you saw get walked down vs Bama on that long run out of the wildcat last year.

Im sorry, but Brossette is pulling away from people here. I know the angles are different but his acceleration is noticeably better

He's probably a 4.8 forty guy, but it was impressive to see him out run the Miami secondary.

You really think a guy that runs a 4.8 could outrun DBs like that?

I was impressed with his vision...and quick cut to the open hole....and he had enough speed to pull away from the DB’s....

And he knew the play....I think NB is vastly underrated....

I can’t tell if we’re joking about guessing a guy’s 40 time.

Also has Great vision & cutting ability.. I never got why people were so down on him. For one he sat behind Guice and LF and Williams Who also waited patiently for years. 2nd at the end of his FR year he suffers a major knee injury. That could not happen at a worse time. That’s when freshman really improve going into 2nd camp season. 3rd O was all in on Guice. Wanted him to make a run at the heisman.. The Troy game was around the time he finally got a shot and was 100% healthy then he fumbled we lose he’s a scapegoat and the program is kinda in turmoil. More reason why The team leaned on Guice& Dw. Once things got back on track and we won a few he comes in and avg 6-7 Ypc. I was a believer all along. I felt like our Oline far outweighed Miami’s Dline and could open running lanes esp since they had new starters. NB came in n best shape of his career weighing 220lbs. Maybe O is a believer now. He saw Nick outperform all of the backs in camp but he was hesitant to say hes our guy. I think he felt he could be and I think the grid iron quote was definitely intentional. He knew it was recorded. I think it made Nick even more hungry

His vision speed and mobility has never been his problem, his tendency to put the ball on the ground cost him playing time throughout the years

He ran a 4.77 laser at The Opening

LINK

And AGAIN, running someone down has a LOT to do with taking the right angle than all out speed.

He does not have good speed.

He has great vision and was great at changing direction. That was his strength in high school. That 5oyd TD looked like him at U High. Not a single person touching him near the line of scrimmage as he scored easily.

I thought he did great in this game, but let's not make up things because he had a good game. He's the slowest scholarship RB on the roster, but he obviously has other strengths that move him to the top of the group.

The Opening that occurred in 2014, don’t leave that part out

Not a speed guy at all, but It’s not crazy to think his speed improved in 4 years in a college program.

He is fast enough to go the distance if anyone gets behind him. But if DBs have an angle on him he will get caught. Unlike Guice and Fournette who would beat CBs that had angles on them, but they would still beat them to the point and score. His best skill is vision, which he showed a nice amount of in the game Sunday.
