So when an LSU baseball pitcher hurts his shoulder and Coach Mainieri announces that pitcher can't pitch because of his injured shoulder, Mainieri has violated HIPAA's privacy rules?

In June Ross Dellenger reported over 30 LSU players tested positive for COVID 19.
We know later in August many of the OL guys caught it and we’ve heard rumblings off and in that others had tested positive.
So now O says “most” players have caught it. Most is over half. Is that a huge surprise?

The 30 players early on were quarantined, not positive.
They didn’t release the number of positives from the 30 quarantined

Take a look a LSU baseball. Most injuries are not disclosed, it’s just a out bc injured . If the specifics are disclosed, I promise you that the kid allowed it. I have 1000 emails from LSU on this advising what’s private relative medical treatment. They won’t share it with my wife or me without my kids authorizing it.

Russian, it’s FERPA. Just read it off of the email LSU sent us after the positive test. I looked it it up after. All med info it collects or causes to be created on a student is private.

All I will say is to try my best to urge everyone I know (IRL or "socially") is to take a good hard look at the people you follow on social platforms and ask yourself...is it really worth it?
Does anyone need to follow 10+ NFL beat writers and 10+ guys who cover LSU plus TigerDroppings. It isn't worth it and as far as I am concerned, I unfollowed almost all of them and almost every athlete too.
