The reason Sam Pittman didnt make it as a head coach is because he is a career position coach who has never even been a Coordinator. In coaching, typically, if you don't get promoted to Coordinator by the time you are 40, you are usually stuck in position coach land and those guys very rarely ever become head coaches. The ones that do typically dont last. Orgeron is another good example of this (yes I know...2019). Outside of that one Haleys Comet year for him with Burrow/Chase/Jefferson/Brady/Helaire/Aranda, he was at his best mediocre and at his worst a total disaster (see Ole Miss and 2020-2021 at LSU).

Who knew that Gundy, Pittman, and Dan Mullen all shared the same agent...

I heard that Terri Kiffin has always loved Baton Rouge and has been looking at houses in the area

Jon Gruden. Get Jon Gruden. From what I hear he's practically begging for the job. I figur a guy who wants a job that bad will give you a 1000%. Maybe he can bring his binder to the interview with Woody.

He's a winner.

Bobby. Petrino.

At the end of the day, football is entertainment. I can’t think of anything that’d be more entertaining than Bobby P at LSU.

Why don’t we wait and see who’s available in a couple of years. Because barring either Kelly retiring or getting fired for cause, that’s AT LEAST how long he’ll be here until it’s anywhere near feasible for a buyout.
Also, if you are only looking for a proven head coach at that point, you’re looking at another big contract at a premium price (especially if Woodward is still here)
