Much needed. Maybe them old-timers back in the day actually knew what they were doing when they scheduled LSU home games at night; they did it for a reason.
I would push it to the second Saturday in October at least. Because the TV networks and apparently the LSU athletic department do not give a shite about what games like last Saturday’s put the fans, or for that matter, the players, coaches, and officials through. No I wasn’t there but I have been to some hot ones.
Personally I would say no more day games ever in Tiger Stadium but this offers a common-sense compromise and in my opinion it is long overdue.

Would become LSU coaching folklore!

I don't want the state legislature getting into the habit of trying to control LSU football. Those buffoons are bound to screw things up.
The TV networks should allow common sense to prevail and implement this policy on their own volition.

If they pull this off, I say extend Kelly's K for 5 years and throw an extra $50 mil on top

Players made out fine. It was the fans that had a problem.

No games start before 6:00 the entire season. How about that?

What about students filming during a storm from scaffolding? Does he want a law for that too?

The chances of that are approximately Zero.Point.Zero.
That’s why if it is to be done the legislature will have to do it.

I see what you did there. Well played

it is. this past game against UCLA, my son attended and told me that at least 70 people were treated at the game and he saw two people carried out on stretchers. Most people that could moved toward the west side, while the east side cleared out. I had 4 season tickets on the 50 east side until this year and decided that the day games in Sept are just no blazing hot to attend in the daytime.
that proposal would be well received by Tiger fans, without question.

Remember when Saban pulled the safety card on the hurry up, no sub offense so he wouldn't have to change his defensive philosophy, and lost?

It should probably be a ban on day games (prior to 6 pm start) in Tiger Stadiums until after Halloween. There is a legitimate safety concern coupled with the legendary night game experience in Tiger Stadium that almost makes it a no-brainer type decision. It's actually an advantage for our opponents to play in cooler temperatures. Plenty of teams in northern climates enjoy (prefer) day games. Similar to white jerseys at home and the H goalpost, there won't be many folks who will argue against it.

I've been proposing this for a few years. Finally they're listening to me. All of you have me to thank when this happens.

I mean hey, fellow Notre Dame “legend” turned LSU coach Gerry Dinardo will always be remembered for bringing back white jerseys at home.
