Don't want anyone thrown under the bus, but just curious who this was??

I caught this on the video review on YTube. Both guards pulled in opposite directions. I guess he was saying that our left guard was the one who was wrong.

Very strange seeing both guards pulling past each other.

watching replay, it looks like play was designed to go right...so right guard (Bradford) should not have pulled

I was going by LSUMomma's quote saying the problem was the lineman pulling right, but I see you didn't catch it that way. Maybe she is the right guards momma.

ETA: Just listened to that part. He didn't say which backside lineman initially. To a followup he said the play was supposed to go left and the lineman went right, but it is unclear if he is just trying to say that a lineman went in the opposite direction of the play.

Obviously when two guards pull at the same time you are going to have holes and Emery was met by 2 players untouched.

At least the Daniels fans who were claiming that Nuss caused the fumble on the handoff are just too biased to see what is right in front of them.

Wonder if BK will go “off script” like Napier did and go for a lot of 4th downs?

I don't think Nuss' performance against Southern gave Kelly a lot of confidence.

Where is this false narrative coming from. Quick slants were run repeatedly against Auburn. We completed several, dropped several, and the QB missed several. What were you watchin

There’s a difference between running a slant and attacking the middle with multiple receivers and combo routes.

When your team is built around the defense the last thing you want to do is turn the ball over. Daniels to a fault does not turn the ball over. I think we saw why Kelly doesn’t trust Nuss to take care of the football against Southern.

Regarding passing game overall: not just QB issue...WR's need to run better routes and catch better...perhaps offensive play calling needs tweaking.

- Kelly acknowledges that team is conservative offensively...he doesn't want interceptions...but realizes that Daniels needs to take some more risks to get WR's the ball.

These two are very promising to hear. I had mentioned the receivers poor route running earlier.

- On Emery fumble: backside lineman pulled when he shouldn't have, which led to untouched defender stripping ball...didn't absolve Emery of losing the ball but result would have been different had lineman done right thing.

I would be interested to know how many miscues happen on the OL in a single game. This one was super noticable, Bradford pulled to the left while two other linemen (Frazier and either Turner or Campbell, I don't recall) pulled to the right.

Chicken:

The answer is simple Kelly has to embrace a two QB system which is a dreaded thought but thats the way it has to be.

Let JD do the motion and simple throws/ run schemes and Nuss the passing plays.

If not you will see WRs jump ship and will not see any 4-5* WRs recruited in the coming years.

Yeah maybe dont throw it to Mason Taylor 100 times a game.

I made this post in another thread, but I'll share it here as well:

quote:

I think Auburn did a really good job bracketing our receivers this past game. A lot of times they dropped 8-9 in coverage and when you only have 4 guys on routes obviously you're at a disadvantage with numbers. I feel like it was strategic that they left Taylor some space because of the four guys on routes he was far and away the least likely guy to hurt them, and it showed.

It's a hard one to judge because as a QB, how do you not throw it to the open guy? I can't fault Daniels for that. If anything I guess you would point the finger at the coaches, they've got to recognize what the defense is giving you and do the best job they can at taking advantage of it.

I'm not so sure they could really throw Bech into that role in this game, if he hadn't done anything to prepare for that, but I really hope it's an adjustment they make going forward. Like I said in my original post, it's not something where Bech has to play TE exclusively, but you should take advantage of that mismatch, even if it's just strategically timed.

I know its not what we want yet, but its better than expected and nice to have a coach that recognizes problems and works to implement specific solutions to solve those problems.

Miles only won a national championship and averaged 10 wins a year for over a decade …
If BK duplicates that success, we will only have paid $1,000,000 per win.

Regarding Daniel's injury: he is fine...injury related to bursa sac...painful injury but no damage structurally...felt good yesterday...MRI was clean.

I've had this injury from sliding into 2nd base years ago. Mine was no joke and took a few months to completely heal.

You think it happened on the awkward slide by Daniels?
