Does everything always have to be about O? Lots of transfers are not because O got the wrong kind of people. It's just the nature of college football now and it's happening everywhere.

If BK maintains the pace and track he's on with transfers and high school signees, you will see a marked improvement this year. Ofcourse, I'm a glass half full kinda guy!

It would be before the portal and NIL. You’d have to recruit your way out of it and normally that was 2 to 4 years. If we evaluate talent well and have coaches than can develop players it shortens the rebuild time. Now it might be 3 years before we compete for a natty but we could win 9 or 10 ten next year with Brennan back if we choose well in the portal.

4 years? Why would it take that long? Saban had us in the SEC Championship game Year 2 and he inherited a pretty crippled program in 2000.

Looking at the last two CFP championships, I think it was at least as much about offensive and defensive lines. And on that score, I think BK will do a great job as well.

Man, this year was so hard to watch.

Not because we lost games, thats going to happen… but because of how incompetent we looked at a number of positions. It was disgusting.

I can see how someone could think that.

If they’re a complete and total moron with absolutely no concept of how the portal can be utilized and how Kelly is indeed doing so.

Do you really think a couple of guys from ULL will help us compete in the SEC? I'm not impressed.

You’re right. There’s no quality football players outside of the power 5. I’m not sure why the NFL drafts a bunch of those guys every year.

I'm glad you agree. Sad for the Tigers though. I can't believe it has come to this.

Saban did not inherit a crippled program. DiNardo actually recruited pretty well but failed in hiring coordinators after Carl Reese and Morris Watts left- kind of like Orgeron. I remember when Saban arrived and first worked with the team he said LSU had good QBs (Davey, Booty) and an outstanding tailback (Toefield). He also had Bradie James and Treverance Faulk. So the team was by no means decimated talent-wise. He just did a phenomenal job of coaching and developing them and establishing a winning culture in year one. Hope Kelly can do something similar. Of course, Saban's recruiting after that was off the charts.

I feel for the guy. He has to fix a roster that is a wreck, recruit his own players, scour the portal, get NIL deals in place and, um something else..... oh yeah, recruit the high school players!!

I love what he's doing. He's making LA kids a priority and giving them a reason to play for LSU...PRIDE!

BK knows the talent LA produces and we just need a few kids from out of state that are impact players. He is attempting to build a wall by making LA kids a priority and in return it will pay dividends.
