And why are we paying top dollar for him again?

The whole team was worse than bland

We’re paying top dollar for him to rebuild and bring stability to the pile of shite that O left. Now, yesterday sucked, and BK may fail, but the job he was hired for is a long-term position.

Agreed, but the observation that this offense sucks dick is true.
We all knew this would be a rebuild but we shouldn’t be dealing with Les miles level offenses

We beat up in the 2nd half a Miss. State team that is actually beating up teams- See A&M and Arkansas (who both played Bama to the very end)
We outscored them 31-3 after spotting them a 13-0 lead. Therefore, we do have some game, but its very inconsistent due to bad offensive scheme, bad O-line and a scared to throw QB.
Rebuild going OK with how the defense plays and adjusts and our recruiting class is solid!
Next year will be much better, and 2024 look out

This excuse goes only so far.
People are already pretty sick of the look, Les and his stubborn offense is all too recent in the fanbase memory.
This isn't the same, but it looks similar, rhymes.
With a different offensive scheme and a slinger at QB, we'd at least be TRYING to play ball.
This is just as frustrating as the toss dive left, right, slant for 6 yards, punt that we saw from 2014-2016.
Long term position or not, failure at LSU looks like a loss to bama and maybe one other.
The honeymoon season for Kelly is over when this season ends.

It’s not an excuse. It’s a fact. And it has to go farther than a few games into season 1.

It’s hard to agree with you. Guys are open or in a 1on1 down field. We can’t get the ball to them often enough. With a decent OLine and QB, this looks a lot better.

This is what you get right now. Kelly has had to peice together a team of Freshmen and transfers largely. A QB corps that is depleted. If you think Daniels is bad,it's only because the alternatives at this juncture are much worse. Nussmeier has problems and Walker Howard aside from not being ready is too short, he might be 6'0". An offensive line that is a combo of transfers and freshmen, largely. A defensive backfield that is made of transfers. A rb corps that is wanting.
The only bright spot is the Dline.
Covid, 2019 , and Orgeron did a number. Then changes involving the transfer rule coupled with NIL are coming together to make this rebuild monumental.

Because we have a bland qb
Posted on 10/9/22 at 8:16 am to CoachChappy
We have a QB that is scared to throw the ball, yet he is our best chance to win.
The complete lack of running game is what I find maddening. Daniels needs a running game. And we have one running play in our playbook.

The number 8 team in the country beat a team they were suppose to beat.
I’m not making excuses but relax.
I am concerned though that BK said QB play wasn’t the issue. I was at the game and he had plenty of opportunities to throw the ball and didn’t.

We wouldn’t be complaining much about the offense if our QB could throw.

He's the best of bad options currently.

(a) It isn't an excuse, it's the truth
(b) However far the "excuse" goes, it's surely much farther than half a season with the dumpster fire of a roster the clown before him left behind.
One wishes, in vain, that the 2022 LSU fan were just a bit more intelligent than the LSU fan of the mid-1950s.

He may not be the best passer, he may think too much before throwing and his receivers are not on the same page. But, he gets no help from his offensive line and his rb situation makes the offense totally dependent on his legs and arm. He becomes the whole offense. He can't be.

I can deal with lack of talent issues. Lack of coaching issues? Hell no. Coaches are supposed to get the best out of their players and that hasn’t happened this year.

This offense is so easy to defend. Long season. Prepare yourself. By far the worst offense in the SEC. And yes, that includes Vanderbilt.
