CBK is a really smart coach. For that reason, Howard won’t be playing unless Daniels and Nuss both get injured. For a change, I like knowing we won’t be outsmarted on the sidelines.

Just like last week when everyone said Auburn had no offense, they had one of their best offensive games this year.

They scored 17 points. Zero in the second half.

If:

quote:

Brian Kelly is a really smart football coach

Then he won’t bench JD for one win and then try to save a RS on Howard. He will either switch QBs permanently or stick with JD.

If he’s so smart he will understand the message doing something that stupid would send to JD and the team.

This isn't NCAA Football on Xbox. You can't just plug in a 5 star with zero starting experience and expect him to play at 100% in a big time SEC game. That's not how this works. If Daniels gets pulled or gets injured, it'll be Nuss.

So smart that he put a student in a sky lift during a storm that ended up killing the kid. That’s a true genius at work.

I don't agree with burning the RS at all. Better long term to get him beefed up in the weight room and have a "competition" next spring.

The intriguing part of this, is we're not yet 5-7 or 7-5. Our defense is playing well enough to give reason to think we can win the SEC West (at the very least). If our offense can just improve marginally... As long as that prospect is in the cards, I have to think the coaches would consider all options, albeit burning RS should only happen in a worst case scenario (think injuries to QB1 and QB2).
