re: Brian Kelly had a plan for NIL

This season not many have spent more than Ole Miss, they've loaded their roster. In their two deep, they have something like 24 Seniors. Special teams, much of the same with Seniors. Last season aTm spent big money, only to get the head coach fired.
This was setup to be the season for Ole Miss, a swing and miss.
Coach Kelly is doing it the right way. Building from the high schools, having kids in the system 3,4 and 5 years.
A revolving door doesn't build a team.

And USC had a huge advantage with the elevation and time zone change of that game
This is fn comical. Air conditioned stadium, Las Vegas is at a whopping 2k elevation which isn't going to affect shite much less conditioned college athletes, two hour time change, you sound like a bleeding vag making up shite.

This makes no sense. Most of the transfer portal big gainers are experienced players from lower level schools looking to take a step up in competition.
You can always tell who the engineers and lawyers are. They take every statement literally and not in context, or the spirit it was written in.

The transfer portal should be used to supplement, not build a foundation.

While everyone else is falling all over themselves to pay millions
Hmmm, I wonder why LSU is near the top in NIL dollars spent. Someone isn’t telling the truth.

This team is winning in spite of Kelly and would be undefeated if he didn’t start coaching scared against USC. Nuss is excelling at the QB position and was at LSU before Kelly showed up. Durham should’ve been starting and getting the majority of the carries day 1. Another Kelly mistake. Perkins being away from the defense now and the defense gelling and playing much better is no coincidence. Weeks is shining. Handling of Perkins is another Kelly mistake and a huge one.
According to you everything wrong is Kelly’s fault, but the adjustments and improvements have nothing to do with him.
Typical rant negativity

Agree with the sentiment but in about 6 weeks this place will go apeshit if we don't casually hand over 2+ million for a HS JR DL with one year of actual game time in his hs career. Perspective is simple to grasp until perception rears it's head. Perspective is your sentiment. Perception will dictate that we disregard that sentiment in the case of Jahkeem Stewart. Throws a wrench in the "doing it the right way" mantra. Kid better be the next coming of JJ Watt.

Dabo is sort of taking that approach but to an extreme. Little to no NIL players. Nothing wrong with paying for some NIL talent, but their head and heart must be aligned as well.

Walter Nolan is a good example of the OP. Bought and paid for by aTm, and they win nothing. Bought and paid for to transfer to Ole Miss, and they will win nothing.

You really don’t know as much as you think you do.
Durham as a true freshman likely took some time to fully grasp the playbook and understand blocking assignments which is critical to protect a non Jayden Daniels QB.
You’ve never coached or developed a team (in athletics or business or life in general) and it shows.

You have to be able to give the athlete something. Some schools can only give them money. BK has decided that he is going to go the opposite direction and get the kids that want to put in the training and get better.
I think that things will balance themselves out in a few years. Eventually, trends will start to show. Teams that only offer NIL $$ will be apparent, as will programs that also develop players. Players will start to gravitate toward the latter programs. There will still be the outlier players looking for a pay day, but I don’t think it will be as many as we’ve seen. Especially with the new ability for schools to pay players directly. We will see programs like LSU taking care of their players as a whole, with the additional ability to earn extra NIL money.

You probably can’t even draw up a legal formation spouting all that bullshite. GTFO with that junk.
