But I saw a detailed analysis of how CBK was mediocre for an entire decade at ND!!

Based on the premise of the OP? Yes, what other take could anyone have?
You looked at that 9 next to two 12s and a 14 and you thought the 9 was the best? Where did you learn math?

He took a school that had only played in two bowl games ever and lost them both to their first bowl win.

Then he took over an irrelevant program that had basically never sniffed the top 25 and had them ranked for basically his entire 3 year tenure and finished up in the top 10.

Then he took a ND program that Weis had run down and turned it into a consistent top 10 program that competed for national championships.

But yeah what else should we take away from that other than the best we can hope for is 9 wins because he was "only" able to turn around a central michigan team from 3-9 to 9-4 in 3 years.

One game doesn't say much about Kelly. How LSU adjusts going forward will say a lot about Kelly. I don't care what he's done elsewhere, this is a different set of circumstances.

I guess you think we need 5 years to turn this program around.

Before the FSU loss I thought this season would be fun, but barely above .500, and next season would be competitive but not a contender. I expect to contend for the natty in 2024.

Based on a 4-7 first year, yes.

Do you think this team is going to win 9 games this year? Please pass around to the rest of the board whatever it is you're smoking.

None of that was reflected in the OP. I'll say it again, slowly.....just for you....my response was based on the premise the OP presented.

What part of this are you not understanding?

Well of course it is. But based on what the OP presented, the best LSU can hope for is a 9-win season. He said it, not me.

how bad Miles and Orgeron were,

And both took over the program while In good shape. To the point of the OP and a point another poster made, Kelly will right the ship after taking over a very depleted roster. I hate seeing us look like we looked the other night. But he’s not magician. This team was bad last year and wasn’t going to be good/great this year.

The premise of of the OP was that he’s improved every team everywhere he’s been.

You’re choosing to look at the team that was 4-7 and peaked at 9 and saying that applies to us? That was not the premise of the OP.

Its because you are a child. You have proven that on numerous occasions.

You are the target market for the candy in the check out line at Walmart.
