IF bk was an alcoholic, that's violation of his contract.
I also think Brian Kelly lied to the media about nussmeier not being injured. It was a fricking blatant lie that slandered garret. It was a part of the grand scheme of BK being a general fraud and not performing his duties of you know, being a competent ball coach and doing all the things necessary to you know be a competent ball coach in the SEC preparing a team to compete for championships.

I’m reading that the case is to determine whether it’s for cause or not. I think ultimately both sides agree on a reduced payout. It seems like it’s in everyone’s best interest to resolve this sooner vs later.

FIRED FOR CAUSE REASON 350:
Dressing up like a fricking walmart bum on National television. I mean what more proof do you need no fricks was being put into being a head football coach on the field to win a fricking game.

C grade coaches. You mean like Les and Orgeron? You want another "sure thing" like Kiffen and pay through the nose again with a long contract with all kinds of bonuses for mediorce performance. Give me a C grade coach anyway who needs to prove himself and is hungry to do so which means he will work hard. Apparently these days, a lot of head coaches only duty is to cash their outrageous checks.

We can all think whatever we want, but I think everyone can agree that this whole general process could not have gone a lot worse

I am old school. A man pays his obligations. LSU looking like bitches. Don’t expect much else from this cuck state.

Don’t make the contract if not willing to fulfill. Shouldn’t have fired him if you didn’t want to pay it out.

Did you show up for work and do the job to the best of your abilities? Did you make excuses for your failures? Did you lie to the media and tell them a kid wasn't dealing with injuries?

Sounds subjective and you’re reacting to your hurt feelings. Man up. Can’t be a boy you’re entire life.

Shoulda woulda left the coach in place and let him coach for another three years until the buyout $ reduced.

Don't be surprised if the next offer from LSU or the Governor will be to send Kelly 1,000 or so Powerball tickets hoping he'll win the jackpot and they'll be off the hook. But if Kelly hits the jackoot he'll probably still want what LSU owes under the contract. LOL

Why didn’t we just let this dude finish his days at Notre dame frick

suggestion
Performance Clause: Coach shall achieve a minimum of seven (7) regular-season wins or a postseason bowl invitation in at least two (2) of every three (3) seasons. Failure to meet this standard shall permit the University to terminate this Agreement for cause with no further obligation beyond the current contract year. Or modify the W/L to LSU standards or add a Natty

I might would feel bad for Kelly if he didn’t half arse this job from day 1. He treated this $10 million a year job like a retirement. I don’t expect you to be married to your job but expect more for the amount he was making.

I whole heartedly agree. But what if, WHAT IF, some shite is so bad, came out of left field, and they had to report it? That would be literally the only reason they are doing what they are doing.
Like, newly discovered Title IX scandal or some shite. Something ridiculously unlikely, but would end up being more damaging to the School than what has already occurred.
Is it likely? survey says Hayll no.
Either way, one hell of a gambit. I’m here for it.

Pay him. A deal is a deal. This just continues the embarrassment
One has to seriously consider now whether the TAF is effectively bankrupt right now with Miles, Orgeron, and Kelly payouts plus other obligations it has to pay out. It’s a terrible power play in all aspects for LSU.

Ridiculous power play by LSU. He might not have met the standard expected by Tiger fans and donors but he did have a winning record. Pay the man.

I’m old school as well. You don’t work you don’t eat. Not get $54 million.
You do a bad enough job to get fired then you didn’t keep your nose to the grindstone enough.
Being lazy doesn’t deserve $54 million
